Beyond What I Could Have Ever Desired. Love my Results from ID Hospital!!
Choosing the right facial surgeon is a difficult task due to the life affirming nature of the operation, relatively complex and detailed surgical work, and all too real challenges faced in recovery. I had been carefully researching FFS surgeons for several months and was fortunate to come across ID hospital, based in South Korea, on my Instagram feed. Though there are other talented surgeons that specialize in FFS around the globe, I was most impressed with ID’s substantial experience performing facial work and outcomes that fit my personal aesthetic.
Confident that ID was the best choice, I e-mailed the hospital to set up a surgical appointment. I received a detailed response back from ID about which procedures I would be interested in and what concerns or insecurities I had about my face. The hospital staff was extremely helpful with logistics, too, as I currently reside in London and remained in near daily communication until I arrived in Seoul. Besides just discussing surgeries the customer service department set up my hotel, nearby the hospital in Gangnam, and transportation accommodations from Incheon international airport (a huge help as anyone who has ever travelled will know that leaving the airport to get to your destination is always a hassle).
After a long journey from London to Seoul, I finally arrived at ID hospital for my consultation. The hospital is beautiful, clean and super modern. I was greeted by the front desk staff and my translators. My translators Helena and Olivia were both excellent, eliminating language barriers and making the consultation with the doctors seamless, easy and very comfortable. The doctors listened very closely to everything I wanted from my desired surgical outcome. They asked me many questions of why I liked a certain face or feature from pictures I had brought in, to truly get to know what I wanted to look like after surgery. The surgical team decided on a game plan and the day following my consultation I had my FFS surgery.
Following surgery, I stayed at the hospital overnight. The amazing nursing staff helped with my swelling and made sure I was comfortable, as the recovery process is the hardest part and at times can be painful. I went back to my hotel the following afternoon, with clear instructions on recovery care from the doctors and some pain medication and antibiotics I picked up at a pharmacy a block away from the hospital. I slowly recovered over the next two weeks and went to 3 check-up appointments post surgery which all went seamlessly and as planned. It is impressive to experience how well run an operation ID Hospital is, with each and every team member having a role in the process from front desk staff, to translators, to nurses to doctors, everything went so smoothly.
My surgical outcome was superb (though I am still a little swollen a month after if I am completely honest!), I want to thank the doctors who gave me amazing results and changed my life. The doctors who did my amazing work was Dr Choi Jae Ho and Dr Lee Kyung Min. The surgeries I had were forehead reduction, v line surgery, cheek bone reduction, rhinoplasty and mini face lift. I chose to have these surgeries because these facial features cause me very bad dysphoria which caused me anxiety and depression. It caused me to stop living my best life as myself because I was worried how society would view me. I now have the face I desired my whole life. The doctors listened very closely to everything I wanted with my desired surgeries. They are true artist and sculpt your face within reason so you can look your best but also to be symmetrical. I don’t think I could of gotten these results anywhere else in the world. I lived in nyc and London and I doubt any doctor in either locations could of changed my life like this. I can honestly say the doctors went above and beyond my expectations. I can speak for myself and many others who I saw come in and out of the hospital. I know many of us may fear going overseas to somewhere we don’t know or don’t speak the language for surgery but I can say I felt at home 100% with Id hospital even with any language barrier. I know we also fear spending money and not getting the results we desire as I have experienced this before. I can guarantee you will not have that fear at all after going to ID hospital. I want to thank the doctors who gave me amazing results and changed my life.
Each person has a role in this hospital and their role is to get things done of course but to make sure everyone who come into contact with them are happy and can feel what the brand stands for. I once again want to thank the great staff of ID hospital for showing me what all hospital’s standards should be but also treating me with respect and kindness for the two weeks I was here. This experience has changed how I look at any other hospital or surgeon. I have a few more surgeries such as breast augmentation to fix my rippling implant, brow bone reduction and brow lift. When I choose to get these surgeries I would 100% have them at ID hospital because I trust them very much and know my expectation for what I want will be met above and beyond like they have done this time.
