Visibly Overfilled Facial Fat Transfer Procedure

vicha11

In 2018 Tim Brown performed a fat transfer to my under eye area. Deciding to go through with this procedure was the biggest regret I have made in my life this far. Within days after the procedure I knew I wasn’t going to be left with the outcome I’d hoped for. A little under a week I called the clinic. I explained my concerns that the left side of my face seemed fuller than the right. The receptionist/nurse I spoke with at the time tried to reassure me that this can happen and I needed to wait for the swelling to settle. I had huge doubts and my anxiety peaked.

During my post procedure review I expressed my concerns with Tim and Colleen. In my opinion Tim and his nurse, Colleen dismissed my concerns. They said it was only swelling. Tim Brown didn't stay in the room for more than 5 minutes. It seemed clear to me he wasn't comfortable being present while I brought up that I wasn’t happy with the outcome. As I was leaving the Berwick Clinic after my review, his nurse Colleen described me as "unique" due to the type of swelling I experienced. At that point I realised accountability was not going to be taken nor was it going to be considered that my under eye area had been left overfilled.

Since my procedure in 2018 I have had various consultations with different cosmetic specialists. All of whom do not understand why Tim chose to perform a facial fat transfer on me to minimise the appearance of orbital fat pads. I was in my very early twenties at the time of the procedure.

I have roughly spent 1500 dollars on glasses, temporary dermal fillers to provide some symmetry and on multiple consultations with different specialists. At this point in time no one has been able to offer me a permanent solution.

*I’d like to note, I did reach out to Tim Brown requesting a refund and to see him in person so that he could assess the outcome of the procedure. I was advised to do this by various cosmetic doctors I consulted with. I sent Tim a detailed email explaining my experience since. Tim was made aware I was incredibly insecure, anxious, and that I avoided most social events. I expressed to Tim how the procedure has interfered with my relationship(s) and life in general since. His response to my email came across dismissive. I was informed in his response that I would be charged a fee if I wanted him to review me again. Tim did not refund the money nor did I see Tim Brown again.*

The day this is treated with a permanent outcome is the day I can finally heal from what this has put me through.
