Horrible Fat Transfer
I underwent a facial fat transfer with Dr Barnouti over a year ago due to lost volume under my jawline. I was under the impression that Dr Barnouti could help with this. I clearly stated I wanted my jawline to look fuller.
On the day of surgery, Dr Barnouti marked me up for where the fat would be implanted and when I looked, I did not agree with this. It definately wasn't what I had asked for. He reassured me that this would give the best result for my issue and offered to also perform lipo in the turkey neck area. I was very unsure but being put on the spot 5 minutes before surgery and being reasurred by the Dr, I reluctantly trusted him.
I was told the downtime would only be a few days. It was months. I had unatural swelling and fluid retention. I could not believe how swollen and bruised I was.
As time went by, it was clearly evident that my face had become very asymmetrical and puffy. I voiced this to Dr Barnouti and was told everything was fine. I knew it wasn't. The Dr offered to help with the asymmetry but the damage was already done. What little fat I had under my jawline and chin was now gone and there was too much placed above my jawline.
Even now this makes me so sad and depressed. I have become extremely antisocial and my relationship aswell as work life has suffered alot. I hope it gets better but I feel as though I will habe to live with this issue for life now. I regret it so much.
Dr Barnouti may be skilled in certain areas, but I beg anyone that wants a fat transfer please do not go to Dr Barnouti. My result is horrible and my concerns were dismissed. I have spent thousands more to try fix what he has caused but I will never look natural again. There should have been more consultation and clarification at an earlier date on what exactly was being done in my surgery.
