Great Investment !
I found Dr Lam through YouTube. I liked the way he focused on looking natural because my fear is for people to know that I’ve had work done. Dr. Lam prides himself on being able to spot when someone has had work done. I knew he wouldn't over fill my face and have me looking like a marshmallow.
Two weeks ago I got 60 cc of fat removed from my inner thighs and 29 cc of that fat injected into my face. Currently I am very happy with the results but I know I still have swelling. I’ll try to update my review when I’ve reached one month. I’m not adding pictures because I don’t want people to know I’ve had any work done.
I think Dr. Lam and his staff did a great job preparing me for the procedure. There is a ton of information on the website and I emailed several times with questions and they were quick to respond.
If you are considering the procedure I’ve listed some pros and cons starting with the cons.
CONS:
The first week you will look awful. You will have swelling and bruises and you can see spots where the needle was injected. My mouth looked weird like i had removed my dentures. I didn’t leave the house much and when I did I wore dark shades to hide my eyes.
Second, it’s expensive. I got fillers once and it cost 2-3k (for 3 syringes). This procedure was 8k.
Third: it’s hard to get an appointment with Dr. Lam. Most of the doctors I called could get me in within a week or two for a consult. The wait for a consult with Dr Lam was over month. Luckily someone canceled and mine got moved up.
PROS:
The biggest pro is that it’s permanent. I don’t know how much of the fat will be absorbed by my body but I know that the fillers did't last very long.
The shape of my face is changed. It’s subtle but i can see more roundness. My pointy chin especially seems more rounded
My face is fuller, giving me a more youthful look.
THINGS I DIDN'T KNOW:
My phone would not recognize me. I have facial recognition on my iPhone and it took 10 days for the swelling to go down enough for my phone to recognize me.
After the first week no one can tell i've had work done. It's like the movie "I feel pretty", everyone else sees the same person but when i look in the mirror see an attractive stranger. It's kind of surreal.
