I hate that I have to write this review but these procedures are extremely important and should be rectified if they fall short of expectations. I hope this helps someone making a decision about a facelift, upper blep and fat transfer under eye area. This is my honest experience.

I want to start by saying it has been a few days over a year since my procedures. I gave it the whole year of waiting and healing as advised from my surgeon and his staff. To start the lower facelift is going good but there is still sagging under my chin that I will have to have re-done soon. I still have numbness and very crooked smile that I didn't have before the surgery. It is extremely noticeable and very embarrassing. The upper blep healed well. That's really all I have to say regarding that since I had no expectation of that procedure. Now for the worst part, the fat transfer under my eye. It is a botched surgery. If you look at pictures of botched surgeries, you will see where the fat does not get absorbed by the body and it is a HUGE lump (which is more prominent in my left eye). I was told on several occasions by both the surgeon and his staff to wait this out and give it time. He suggested that I get laser skin resurfacing treatments which I have done totaling about $2,800.00 to try to get it corrected. He suggested Kybella which will dissolve the fat he put in there but now that I have already spent $2,800 on laser skin resurfacing Kybella is out of my budget. When I smile there is a huge bump under my eye that makes me look older than I did before all this surgery. They tried to manipulate pictures of my that I sent to them during my laser skin resurfacing treatments but in the end they really couldn't justify the botched surgery. I look like a monster now with this huge left eye bag that has no symmetry with the rest of my face. I have to edit ALL of the picture I take or I don't smile when taking pictures. I have lost so much confidence and hate the way I look now. I have been disappointed with the procedure since before I left Istanbul to come home last year. I have even spoken to the surgeon and his staff on numerous occasions expressing my disappointment. I thought I did my homework from searching google and Realself but sadly I am stuck with this botched fat transfer. If you were to ask me if it was worth going to Istanbul and having these procedures by Dr. Manav I would tell you NO without hesitation. I wanted to look younger when I went for these procedures - I don't

Again your answer is to wait, add toxins (which is the whole reason I elected a facelift was to get away from botox) and add costly procedures to fix the mistake YOU made. We never discussed botox at the pre-operation consult. As I would have never agreed to move forward. This is not swelling under the eyes it is fat transfer that did not settle, it is a botched surgery and very evident! No, fat transfer under the eyes typically doesn't take 24 months to heal. While some swelling and bruising may persist for several weeks after the procedure, most patients can see initial results within a few weeks, and final results are usually noticeable within 4-6 months. You and the clinic ignoring this is not acceptable to me. The doctor has had 2 video interviews with me giving me the same answers I have heard since I left Istanbul. I have waited I have followed all your after care instructions like lymphatic massages, laser skin resurfacing, drinking more water, walking nothing works, You have not supported me through this process and in fact have dropped the ball several times once I had to reach out to the clinic lead to have you contact me. I am not satisfied - If your priority were my satisfaction, I couldn't say that and we would not be here. I have been very upfront with you about this. Your response is lame and proves how little you prioritize your patients after surgery.

Wow, this is not a good response from the doctor. Someone who I was seriously considering.

I’m so sorry this happened, but wanted to warn you to stay away from his recommended Kybella injections, tha t substance is NOT approved for the face and definitely not anywhere near the eye. It can cause nerve damage and even
blindness. There are many warnings from Allergan, the manufacturer. There is a gal here on RS that wrote an extensive review on the horror she has been through since 2021 when her doctor tried to reverse a fat graft mistake under her eye with Kybella. She is a nurse and mother, you need to read her review here under fat grafting. You probably should see an ocular plastic surgeon (oculoplastic surgeon) to be evaluated for possible corrections. I pray that you find resolution and peace. You are still beautiful no matter what happens.
