Thank You So Much!!

WORTH IT
I had my facial fat transfer surgery in September, and these photos show my journey from before the procedure through my recovery up to November.

I arrived in Korea a few days early to enjoy the city, which I definitely recommend - especially if you love spicy food, because you won’t be able to have any during recovery! When I first visited the clinic for my check-up, I was welcomed so kindly. We had a very realistic and honest conversation about what was actually possible for my facial fat transfer, the risks, where the fat would be harvested, my facial goals, and whether I preferred a more Western or Eastern style. I really appreciated that I was never pushed into anything. I felt completely in control and fully informed.

My doctor came in next to mark my face and confirm that my goals were achievable. He was incredibly kind and reassuring, which immediately calmed my nerves. After taking my before photos, I changed into the hospital garments (they were surprisingly soft!) and the staff were so gentle and comforting as I went under anesthesia - they even held my hand.

When I woke up, I felt surprisingly good. I was given medication and clear instructions on how to use everything. My face wasn’t very painful, but my stomach was extremely sore from the fat harvesting. Even so, I was able to walk back to where I was staying, which was pretty close.

The first three days of recovery were definitely the hardest. I really recommend stocking up on essentials, snacks, and easy food ahead of time if you’re recovering alone. My stomach stayed tender for quite a while, my under-eyes were bruised for about two weeks, and I was very swollen during the first week - totally normal, but definitely something to prepare for. I had a stomach binder to wear post-surgery, which was a little uncomfortable at times but extremely helpful. I was grateful they provided one for me to use the whole time.

My under-eye bandages could be removed after three days, which felt like such a milestone. My stomach took the longest to heal, but the clinic is storing extra fat for me so that if I ever need a top-up, I won’t have to go through harvesting again. Showering took a bit of extra care -especially around my stomach incisions with waterproof bandages, but it was manageable.

One thing I really appreciated was having check-ups almost every day until I left Korea. That consistency made me feel so supported during the healing process.

When I headed home, I was genuinely happy with my results. It has been so exciting watching everything settle and heal over the months. I’ve only experienced a small amount of fat loss so far, and the majority has stayed beautifully. I’ll return for a top-up if I ever need it, but I’m very confident and relaxed about the process.

Thank you so much to everyone at the clinic for making this entire experience so seamless, supportive, and positive
