Do NOT Get a PET Lift
tmsmothermanSeptember 22, 2024
I kept seeing advertisements for this "new" procedure called a PET lift almost 2 years ago, did as much research as I possibly could (wasn't a lot of info), and decided to give it a shot. Dr. De Souza is supposed to be the pioneer of this minimally invasive procedure that pulls/lifts skin to give the look of a facelift without the surgery/pain/expense that comes with it. The process was pretty straightforward, and the procedure was fine, but the after effects have been terrible. Anchors are pushed down into the muscles above the skull, and then threads are wrapped around and tightened (think like you're cinching together a trash bag or pursing your lips together to whistle). Well, that is the process performed to lift the muscles/tissues of the face. I have had extremely painful lumps in my head since the procedure in July 2023. Last week, two large (what appeared to be) zits formed into my hair line where the procedure was performed. I ended up popping these, and the amount of nasty, purulent drainage that came out was disgusting. It was a lot! I am suspecting that my body is doing everything that it can to purge these anchors, and at this point, I am very scared that I am going to end up with a severe infection, and have to have these surgically removed. And to top it all off, any benefits that I got from this procedure were gone in a few months. Such a waste of time and money, and I am still dealing with the effects of this awful procedure 15 months later!!

Won’t because they are afraid of leaving a bad review to establishments that they frequent for other procedures.
