I want to share my experience with Doç. Dr. Andaç Aykan in Istanbul to warn others.
I travelled to Turkey and paid €8500 for facial surgery after being promised visible improvements. I trusted this doctor at a very vulnerable time in my life, hoping this would help my confidence.
After over a year of healing, there is no visible change. Other qualified doctors have since confirmed that the expected surgical results are not present. I was left shocked and devastated.
When I contacted the clinic to raise my concerns, instead of offering support or explanation, I was blocked everywhere and ignored. The doctor also posted my photos on Instagram without my consent. When I confronted him, he said he “liked the result” and wanted to show it, despite me clearly telling him I did not agree to my images being shared.
I recently travelled back to Istanbul to request my medical records. The clinic called the police on me and had me removed instead of providing my records. I was then verbally abused by the doctor’s assistant over the phone and falsely accused of harassing them simply for attending in person.
This has been emotionally and financially devastating. I even took out a loan to pay for this surgery, believing it would help me feel better about myself.
I am sharing this so others can make an informed decision. Please research very carefully and do not rely only on social media images. My experience shows a complete lack of accountability and patient care.
