I have a nice profile after facelift & upper blepharoplasty 1 month ago

I had a facelift and upper blepharoplasty in mid-April 2022. I traveled from the midwest to New Jersey (after a 3 month rescheduling delay due to getting Covid) for a 10-day stay, based on the results and recommendations of my good friend who had the same 2 procedures a year before me. I made a surprisingly easy decision to pursue this despite not having EVER thought I'd have a facelift. My profile and appearance before the surgery had really aged me within the past 2 years, being post-menopausal. My dermatologist was honest and said that the results I was looking for could only be achieved by cosmetic surgery. I will admit that I had some false expectations based on my friend's and her friend's seemingly short recovery time. Everyone heals at a different pace. I would say the advice that was given on how long to expect to stay sequestered, for me was a little too short. I would have been most comfortable "coming out" in person after my surgery after probably 6 weeks. But that may have been my own insecurity about people questioning why I looked different, which actually did not even happen. I did have big events scheduled within 3.5 to 5 weeks post-surgery, which made me very nervous as I was waiting to look and feel "normal." My face was still healing and very numb on the cheeks and neck at this time. However, it was not an issue when I finally saw people I knew; I just felt great after I got past my own nervousness and anxiety. I can't explain that part, and I don't think everyone feels like I did, but my friend helped calm me down and I know that Dr. Mark and his staff would have gladly talked me through this too, had I reached out. They were very gracious and said to call them any time with any concerns. Now that my face is feeling more "alive" and less numb every day, I am just getting more excited about the result. My blepharoplasty was a suggested procedure by Dr. Mark during my video consultation, and he was right. My eyes have not ever looked this open or attractive. The most exciting part is my face and chin: I have A NICE PROFILE now. Before the facelift, my chin and neck were becoming one. But I now I feel like I look at least a decade younger than I did, and look younger than my age (55). My 22 year old daughter was in awe of the new me, which made me feel great too.
