I'm in my early 40s and had the hour lift procedure to address sagging cheeks/nasolabial folds. Im about one month post-op and my feelings are mixed. My cheek area is slightly lifted (comparing photos I would say I look 5 years younger), but Im not sure how much of that is due to fillers used. Im not convinced the procedure overall was worth the discomfort, downtime and scarring. But time will tell.

Upsides: it is easy to schedule, the cost is probably the lowest you will find for similar procedures, and you don't need general anesthesia per se. I didn't feel any pain during the procedure itself.

Downsides: the office staff is generally indifferent, you don't see the doctor for any kind of consultation until immediately before the procedure, and you don't receive much if any information on what exactly is being done. Botox and fillers are included, but there was no explanation of what would be done with those either, despite asking. I felt like my questions and concerns were brushed off, which isn't great when you are about to get a surgery on your face.

While the procedure itself is relatively fast (a few hours start to finish), you are uncomfortable, noticeably bruised, and swollen for 2-3 weeks following. I cannot believe anyone who says they were 'back to work in 2 days'. The incision scars, while mostly in the hairline, are significant (about 4" each side). I also lost hair next to the scars, which I was not expecting, and I hope grows back.

Lastly, the office never contacted me for any kind of follow-up whatsoever, so you are on your own, and there is no discussion of how you feel about the results either.

While I was able to somewhat address my concerns with this procedure, for me, the process was impersonal and much more of an intense and scary process than it is portrayed to be. I would be happier if the scars were not so significant, and if I had expected longer downtime after the surgery.
