Amazed 3 weeks later

After slowly watching my natural beauty slip away into the abyss and feeling quite devastated over it. I watch these young millennial's getting Botox and think "even for them these minor changes that they are experiencing and then fixing is bothering them." I feel if I had been doing this type of preventative in my own life maybe having so many procedures as I am about to would not have been even necessary.
Everybody wants to look their best. For some people the aging process seems to come and they're not that affected by it. For me, it's been quite devastating. I think that I attribute this to my Mom's constant reminders of her own feelings of losing her beauty impacted the way I would one day see myself. My mother would provide me with face creams and wrinkle creams at a age that were quite inappropriate. Not to judge her too strongly as my mother was in her 40s when she had me. My mother was the oldest mother amongst all of my friends.
So here we are today I am going to turn 57 this year, I have done fillers and Botox with some successes and some disappointments. I think I expected for too much out of them. I also did not always see a plastic surgeon to have my injections done.
Two years ago I went to see Dr. Steiger for a consult and he told me that he could make me into a younger version of myself. This resonated with me so much and even though I wasn't quite ready, I have not forgotten his words. I went back to see him for another consultation to once again discuss how unhappy I am about the aging process. He listen to me very intently and then he told me what I thought I needed. He said that a forehead lift, a deep plane facelift, upper blepharoplasty, lower fat transfer and a full face refractive CO2 laser would get me the results that would give me back my youthful face.
I met with his scheduler and once she showed me the breakdown and I immediately signed with zero hesitation. I called back last week and I am going to be adding a lip lift to the lineup. I feel that if I'm going to do all of these things then I need to add what is also necessary to put my mouth back to where it was before it started to drop with the gravity aging process.
I want my full top lip back, I want the space between my nose and the top of my lip reduced, I want a stronger Cupid bow.
I am putting everything into Dr. Steiger is very capable double board certified hands.
My surgery is booked for November 10 and I am at peace with my decision and excited for the process.

Let’s “face it “having a facelift is serious business. The first and most important part is researching out the procedures, and then finding the very best surgeon that you can afford. If you’re going with a Facelift try to find a face only surgeon that is at a minimum single board certified. Luckily Dr Jacob B Steiger is double board-certified face only.
I had a deep plain/neck lift/coronal brow lift/upper Bleph/lower fat transfer/lip lift/fractional CO2 full face laser.
This was not child’s play, it was intense, my neck hurt, my face was swollen and felt like I was the balloon. I’m sitting here at three weeks amazed at how I look. I still have redness under my eyes, some swelling left of course, but overall this amazing hard-core plastic surgeon gave me back what the cruelty of time stole from me. It’s like he put me through a time machine and set it to 97.

I am very happy with how my surgery turned out. Having a Facelift is not the most difficult situation that I've ever been in, but it is awkward and you do feel like you are the balloon for a while, it's definitely is worth it.

***** Side note, if you can add in the fractional CO2 laser into your procedure it's definitely worth it. It erased every age spot that I had from sun exposure.
