Excellent Surgeon and Extremely Happy With Results

WORTH IT$6,249
This was previously written in the comments because I could not figure out where to put the actual review and it has since been edited due to my surgery being a year ago.
For many years I had been thinking about getting rid of my turkey neck and already knew I would seek out a plastic surgeon in Mexico mostly because of cost. I searched for over a year and finally narrowed it down to two. I picked Dr. Marco Carmona because he had so many excellent reviews and I am extremely happy that I made the correct choice. I had an appointment with a different surgeon but my gut kept telling me NO because I couldn't find any reviews and they could only come up with two last minute references and then Dani reached out to me in the nick of time and got me scheduled within the same time frame of my trip since I had already booked my room and flight. Maybe an hour after contact with Dani, I then heard from George who is the Concierge for Dr. Carmona Shape & Beauty. We were in contact via WhatsApp and I sent George my photo, flight/hotel information and he sent his photo, photos of the airport and where to go turn by turn. After going through customs and outside the airport there was a movie being filmed with crowds of people, but George picked me out of the crowd and swooped me out of there real fast.
Dr. Carmona and the Shape & Beauty team are outstanding. The level of service is excellent. From the moment I had contact with Dani and George it was a fast go. George took me to all my appointments for blood work, EKG and physical. He filled out all paperwork and checked me in to the hospital and made sure all my things were secured. I did not have to do anything but sign my name. He took me to my appointment to meet Dr. Carmona and while I was filling out paperwork, I could hear him whistling tunes and that made me smile because that makes for an incredibly happy doctor.
Dr. Carmona is a very skilled caring, compassionate and wonderful surgeon; personable, passionate and kind. He has a good sense of humor. The day after my surgery when he came to the hospital to check on me and remove my bandages. He asked me if I looked at myself yet and I had not. He went into the bathroom and took the mirror off the wall so I could see, and he had this funny smile on his face and said I was beautiful. He cracked me up
I would highly recommend Dr. Carmona Shape & Beauty. I get a lot of compliments and yet people cannot quite put their finger on what is different. He is that good, he guarantee's his work and I will be returning in spring or summer 2021 for some more lip filler.
The hospital where Dr Carmona did my surgery was Victoria Hospital and a brand spanking new state of the art facility. Beautiful! The staff, all bilingual, were excellent. Better than many hospitals in the US except for one thing, the food was horrible. LOL
One more thing. If you plan to travel to Mexico or any country for your surgery, make sure you give yourself enough time. I stayed for almost 3 weeks because I know I bruise easy and it takes a while for it to go away due to blood count issues from lupus so I wanted to hide out.
Thank you, Dr. Carmona, George and Dani! You're all awesome! Peace and Love.

Not even comparable to before surgery. Great job. You look so different.
Congratulations
Great decision
You look fabulous
You look absolutely fabulous!!!!
You look so beautiful! I'm so happy for you. More importantly, thanks so very much for the follow up posts. I saw your posts a year ago when you were asking questions to someone else who used Dr carmona. Makes a big difference for those of us considering the same procedure, to follow your story over a period of time.
Thank you so much! I'm so happy I could help as others have helped me to make the best decision.
You look so much younger - great results.
Thank you!

Face Lift, Upper/Lower Bleph, Lip Filler - 1 Year Update

It's been a year! I'm very pleased with my results. As soon as COVID19 subsides, I'll be traveling back to see Dr. Carmona for some more lip filler and he's also going to fix the scars near my ears. I was supposed to go in April and had to cancel my trip. I'm hoping to get there next spring or summer if the virus subsides. And just to let everyone know, scars are very common after facial surgery. They do the best they can to keep them hidden and with me nobody sees them anyway. It's not a perfect world. Dr. Carmona guarantees his work.

You look so great! I’ve been following your healing journey and it looks as though everything is settling down. How is your neck from the side? I’m considering Dr. Carmona & I’m very much wanting to go to someone who can restore the 90° angle of my neck to chin. Was he able to do that doe you?

Also, do you have all the feeling back in your neck and face now?
Thank you! My neck is fine. That was my main issue because it was so ugly and saggy. If I understand what your asking, I don't have any of that saggy stuff anymore. My profile looks great and I'm extremely satisfied. I will get another picture with a side view for you when I get on my other computer. I do have feeling everywhere. Sometimes it feels tight around my ears, but I use a lot of lotion. Because I have age spots on the sides of my face I've invested in a microdermabrasion machine to see if it will work on fading them.
You look absolutely vibrant and fantastic! I remember you and I know it was a tough recovery but look at your results! So worth it all, imo. I have skin color very similar to yours - I think. it’s hard to know for sure from pics But my skin is considered olive however I’m very fair- its a mix of Mediterranean/East Indian - My scars were similar to yours and they did get better although now white. Not my surgeons fault at all. In fact last time he saw me he offered scar revision, they just don’t bother me that much. I’m much more focused on my results. fuller face, tighter neck and proper profile.
Happy for you!!
Thank you so much! Yes I have that same skin color. I'm so happy I don't have that saggy neck anymore. It started early, like in my early 50's I think. Got it from my mom. LOL And in the beginning, I didn't think I wanted my eyes done, but after they were done I'm amazed.
I’m getting similar procedures so could you talk about the pain and recovery afterwards? You look great
Thank you! I stayed in Mexico for 3.5 weeks after the procedure so nosey people in my town wouldn't know. Don't know if you're having it done near your home. For me the recovery was hard because I have lupus so I had issues healing. The pain wasn't bad at all, Tylenol works. Make sure you take it easy for at least 3 weeks. Don't lift, try not to lean forward a lot and don't turn your neck a lot. Keep your hair up and out of the way with a headband; nothing real tight. The first week is the hardest because you need to keep your wounds clean and use an antibiotic ointment on them after a few days and leave them alone, like no picking at them. Don't over do it with with cleaning them. Just once in the AM or PM with mild soap and water, then pat dry. After they start to heal you can use silicone gel or strips on the scars. It took me a long time to heal and I had to go as far as ripping scabs off which I don't think happens with people who don't have autoimmune issues. Otherwise, it was ok. It all depends on you, your pain tolerance, how fast you heal. Also, you may have numbness in some areas which doesn't seem to go away. Hope this helps.

Why scars are not hidden in hairline. I'm sorry but that dr. Isn't good.
They were hidden in my hairline. I have lupus and my hair falls out in those areas and doesn't grow back. That is an issue of mine not the Dr.
I disagree. I think you look wonderful.
Thank you Aprilwootten!
You look great! Would love to see your update after the revision! All the best!
You look great!
Why didn't the surgeon shorten your philtrum? That's part of the REAL key to looking younger after a facelift. If it's left long, you don't end up looking any younger.
