I obsessed over Dr. Lev’s work for years, and when I sold my house and had the cash, I decided it was my turn! He is such a wonderful surgeon and human being. I experienced no pain (and not a ton of discomfort), and the results were just what I wanted!
My experiences with US plastic surgeons hasn’t been great. I’ve mostly found them to be condescending, arrogant, incredibly expensive, and generally of the opinion that they deserve more space on the planet than everyone else. Dr. Lev is night and day from that. He’s kind, responsive, eager to do great work, and a lot of fun! He answered my emails promptly, always ending with “abrazos” (hugs).
But even if he were an evil gnarly troll, in my opinion, his work is just better than anyone else’s I’ve seen. So happy I got to be his patient! Love his staff too!
(I’d also highly recommend staying at Chetica for your recovery center. Private cabins, amazing food, constant, loving pampering, and 80 acres of rain forest! The host, Ruben Dario is a hoot, and the whole staff is wonderful.)

I sent you a private msg.
Everyone on here has 5* reviews so I don't know how to find and choose a Dr. I'm thinking of Costa Rica or Tijuana for a face/neck lift. I almost feel that I should make two trips 1 first just to interview and see what's up at their clinic.
Questions:
How did you decide on this dR? Since they all on realself have 5* or close to it.
How much was the surgery?
Did you need full anesthesia or was it just enough to keep you out?
Do you know how long the surgery took?
How many days until you could take care of yourself?
Did someone check in on you the first night?
How long do they want you to stay in town?
Could you if you wanted to move to a different hotel after the first night?
I'm also nervous after meeting a lady in my state who has a crooked face after a facelift in the US. I don't know what she looked like before but this was not a good look.

Hi, Diligent! I messaged you back, but for everyone else's benefit:
1. I followed Dr. Le's work for years. The before and after photos on his site were so much better looking to me than anyone else's! 2. $7700 for full face and neck and upper eyes. (I was going to do lower too, but he said I didn't need it after seeing me in person and gave me money back!)
3. Full anesthesia. Went to sleep...woke up...no big deal.
4. 6 hours. The man don't play around. :)
5. I could take care of myself pretty much by the next day, but I'm pretty independent in general.
6. Two nurses stayed in my room the entire first night at the clinic.
7. You'll need to stay a minimum of two weeks. Which was a delight, at Chetica. I didn't stay at a hotel; I stayed at a recovery center that is equipped and staffed for people doing medical tourism. It is beautiful, and they waited on me hand and foot, including keeping track of my meds and monitoring my progress. It is out of the city, which I prefer, and rides to the doc are free.

I love my new face! But honestly, it took me a minute to get used to it, just because I looked different. Now I just love it!

Everyone has nothing but praise for Dr. Lev, that's why I'm flying to Costa Rica in August to get work done. How the hell does he make people look soooo damn young? I can't wait to have my new face and body.

I'm staying at Casa Mercedes. We've been emailing back and forth they seem nice. Did you meet anyone from the US down there or just you? I'm nervous and excited at the same time.

I didn’t, but I stayed with Mercedes on a previous trip. She’s great! (I just opted to stay out of the city on my next visit.)

Great? I got so sick from eating her food! ECOLI! I’m not the only one, people that were staying there also were complaining about the food, if it wasn’t that I was on antibiotics from Dr Lev I would have ended up in a hospital and that you do not want to happen! Got sick there the first day I arrived, as I spit the food out and so did my husband, the meat was so tough, I spit it out. When I got home, lost 20 pounds (when I wasn’t supposed to loose weight) soup was made and it had huge bones in it, just horrible! Been suffering for 8 wks, please stay somewhere else! All the women were complaining and ordering out

Did you use Bank of America for the deposit and cash for the rest when you got there? I know Dr. Lev also uses Zelle, but I wonder if he uses Venmo, too.

I paid all up front through BOA. And he handed me back $500 cash when we didn't do lower eyes.

Nope! I have no idea why that happened. It was just residual from the rest, I guess. There were no incisions near that area.

Was it a traditional facelift or a deep plane facelift? Deep plane is when the lift the muscles and the skin.
