I deeply regret

I had my surgery- face and neck lift, upper blepharoplasty, CO2 laser and Botox (offered at the last second, for free)- on February 8, 2025. I’ve waited patiently and prayed for good results that never showed up. Aside from a nightmarish experience at the hospital that was minimized and even blamed on me, my results are truly depressing. There is no positive change to my face or neck from the front. Both actually look worse. I have deeper wrinkles and bunching on my temple area, folds on my upper eyelid (which naturally folded into my eyelid crease before) and a more prominent platysma band, none of which were there before. My eyes still feel strange and like they don’t close properly. There is bulging under my chin, and the skin looks very strange. The platysma muscles were sutured to the hyoid bone instead of being sutured down the length of my neck (often called a corset platysmaplasty, which yields the best result). This created the more prominent platysma band as they weren’t sutured together under the hyoid bone and with the skin pulled taut they’re much more visible. I have an issue with my neck where I feel a throbbing sensation whenever my heart rate increases to this day. I’m not sure it will ever heal. The only benefit I received is to my side profile, and an improvement in my skin from the CO2 laser. The Botox hid a lot of the issues and since I had never had it, I was unaware that most of the positive effects I thought were from surgery were actually from the Botox and swelling.

After the horrible experience at the hospital, all warmth and kindness from the team was gone. I was worried they would cancel any aftercare, but I did see the doctor a couple more times (that were very awkward) and I was taken to the airport. The hotel was beautiful. The staff at the hotel were so friendly and helpful. The taxi drivers were a delight. Everything about Istanbul was an amazing experience. The team was great until the incident at the hospital.

Considering my main concerns were my neck and wrinkles around my eyes and mouth, I’m incredibly disappointed. Revision will be far more costly as well. Overall, I deeply regret my choice.
