WORTH IT
First, I want to say that I greatly admire and respect Drs. Lieberman & Parikh. In addition to being highly trained, skilled and meticulous surgeons, they are kind and caring nhuman beings.
I first met them on Day 2 of the COVID lockdown in March of 2020. On the day before the lockdown, I had Mohs surgery for a squamous cell carcinoma on my upper lip which left a hole the size of a dime in the center of my lip. The next day, I was scheduled for reconstructive surgery with another prominent plastic surgeon in Palo Alto. On the Friday before my Monday Mohs surgery, I received a call from the plastic surgeon’s office telling me that he was very, very ill and neither he nor his partner could perform the surgery.
Fortunately, my friend, anesthesiologist Dr. Paul Goehner, asked Drs. L& P if they would step in and they agreed.
I arrived at their office and met the two of them with one medical assistant who showed up to a closed office at the beginning of the global pandemic to perform surgery on a stranger. I will be forever grateful to them for this generous act of kindness!
Fast forward to December 15, 2023: Drs. L & P, along with anesthesiologist extraordinaire, Dr Paul Goehner, performed their Signature face and neck lift, plus a few small adjustments to my upper lip.
I am thrilled because most people have no idea I had cosmetic surgery unless I tell them. The results are subtle, but significant. A friend told me I look rested/refreshed which is exactly what I wanted.
My experience with the entire L & P team was supportive, seamless, and 100% positive. A special thank you to Stacey Tentoglou (LVN & Perioperative Lead) who became my best friend for the week following surgery during daily hyperbaric chamber sessions. Yolanda Rivera (Chief Operating Officer) was wonderful, super supportive and answered any and all questions.
P.S. I went out to dinner at a nice restaurant 14 days after surgery!
