pics of ice pacs and pillow
Just posting some pics of the ice pack that I used for my face/jaw and the little circle ones were great to put underneath the face strap, also the pillow I got on amazon was a lifesaver as I 'm still sleeping on my back and it allowed me to stay propped up and comfortable,
Dr. Denton is an Amazing Surgeon. Super Happy with my Facelift Results 4 Weeks Post-op
Dr. Denton is an Incredible surgeon,
I'm just 4 weeks post-op and so far am super happy with my facelift results.
Was very nervous about having this surgery but felt at ease with Dr. Denton and his staff, trusted him as he specializes in facial plastics. I look like myself just a younger version. My lower face has definition now and my neck looks amazing. The twilight anesthetic turned out to be the right way to go as well as I didn't have to stay overnight and felt my recovery was much easier.
The incisions around my ears are literally invisible, can hardly notice them and no red line or anything.
The first week was tough for me as I was a super sweller and looked liked a swollen alien lol I bruised a bit on one side too but I think the pre and post op vitamin regime helped that.
I also had an allergic reaction to the polysporin ointment (yeah one of the lucky %) so it was super red and itchy and set me back a few days of recovery but Yuki, Vivian and Dr. Denton were available super fast when I called/emailed pics with the ?s about the reaction and when I discontinued it I healed after 4-3 days from the rash. I used Elastoplast Wound Healing Ointment instead and it worked really well with no rash. https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0D6WL1ZH1?refppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
I highly recommend getting a roll of gauze to put inside the face bandage/strap you were for weeks after the head wrap is removed, having the gauze inside you can through out each day as the first week I had some oozing from around the ears as the incision sites healed.
Also, I bought a wedge pillow from Amazon (will post pics) that was a life saver as still sleeping on my back at 4weeks and allowed me to be comfortable. I prop myself up on it and put pillows on either sides under my arms...seems to work well.

Round small ice packs and an ice pack that they sell on amazon as well that is for post teeth/jaw surgery was amazing as could strap it over my head bandage.

No real solid foods for a few weeks as it was hard to chew so stock up on protein, collagen powder and frozen fruit, greek yogurt and eggs.
Still healing each day seeing the changes. I went out in public with make-up about 2 weeks later, but didn't return to work meetings for 3weeks as didn't want the stress of pushing myself to recover and with me being a sweller I'm glad I took the extra time.
btw I'm 57
No regrets, Super happy with my decision to have the facelift with Dr. Denton.
