Poor results and no follow up

All I wanted was to feel more confident of my face after turning 44 and experiencing early jowling. I was led into believing I also needed a neck lift. I believed that Dr Portuese had extensive experience in the facelift procedure and went through with the surgery in 2023. Immediately following the surgery I woke with wet hair and was sent down to the main floor with no bandage. Twice I had to go back because the drain wasn't working and had to be further sewn into my head. The recovery was quite awful with severe pain in the back of my bed with staples. I noticed right away that the chin incision was not straight but at an angle towards my chin and that my smile was now crooked. At 6 weeks it hadn't improved nd I had to get Botox to even out my smile. Now 8 months later the right side of neck pulls every time I try to smile. The incision still pulls on my lower chin causing a deformity. Submandibular glands have fallen after only 2 months and jowls are still present. The worst part is that the tragus of both my ears has been blunted me the intertragal notch is compromised. The ears are also mismatched with one earlobe dangling and the other snatched up. I emailed to address the tragus issue was dismissed and gaslit into thinking that I am mistaken. All I wanted was a follow up but have been continually denied. It is absolutely true that Dr. Portuese does not care about the end result and will not follow up the you despite taking your hard earned money and cutting open your face. Before the surgery I specifically asked if my ear would change shape and Dr portuese said no, however after I emailed about my concern I was told that in fact it does change shape. I cannot find anyone who will revise the tragus and so I must hide my ears in shame.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We can only comment on what is shown in these photos, but we understand your concerns regarding the appearance of your tragus. From these photographs, your incisions are nearly imperceptible and appear to have healed very well. The alternative would have been to make an incision completely down the front of your ear, closer to the cheek, which would have left a more visible scar. Our goal is to achieve the best possible result while minimizing visible scarring. Please feel free to reach out to our office if you need any further clarification.
