I live in New York City, literally blocks away from MEETH (Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital) I know top-tier plastic surgery when I see it. But let's be real: NYC prices are insane. After a lot of digging, I found Dr. Alejandro Enríquez de Rivera. Knowing he trained under the legendary Dr. Sherrell Aston gave me the green light to fly to Mexico for my Deep Plane Facelift.
In January 2025, I traveled to Nuevo Vallarta. I was particularly impressed with the anesthesia protocol led by Dr. Luis Godoy. Unlike my previous experiences with general anesthesia (which left me with nausea and a rough recovery), this was local anesthesia with deep sedation. I felt absolutely nothing—it was like blinking and being done—and I woke up feeling calm and refreshed.
I stayed at the Paradise Village Hotel, which is literally a block away from Hospital Joya Riviera (and half a block from a Starbucks, though I had to skip the coffee for a few days!). While sleeping elevated on my back was a challenge for a stomach sleeper like me, the process was virtually painless—just some mild discomfort from the positioning.
It’s been a year now and I’m beyond happy. I look refreshed but totally natural—I don’t look "done," I just look younger. If you want NYC quality without the Manhattan price tag, Dr. Alejandro Enríquez de Rivera is your guy.
