the perfect face-lift
This is a difficult review to write. Not because it is bad but quite the opposite. It may seem to be too good to be true! I have not received compensation of any kind for this review. My experience with Dr. Quiroz and Vida Wellness has been nothing short of perfect! And I have been a consummate perfectionist all my life!
My wife found Dr. Quiroz and photos of his work on Instagram, but she almost did not show me because they were in Tijuana. I was familiar with TJ back in the 1980s when I lived in San Diego. It was most definitely a 3rd world city back then. Today, TJ is a thriving, safe, clean, bilingual, friendly, and professional 1st world city! There are absolutely no signs of the Cartels that our Texas border cities have. The truth is that I felt safer in TJ than I do in Houston Texas! The transformation of TJ over the past 40 years is truly remarkable. The Vida Wellness driver will pick you up at the airport and deliver you safely to the door of Vida Wellness. There is so much medical traffic back and forth from TJ that there are dedicated lanes specifically for medical traffic which makes the crossings very quick and trouble-free.
Our first contact at Vida Wellness was a wonderful woman named Lilia Frettlohr. We both found her to be extremely professional as well as very personable. Lilia, like all people at Vida Wellness, is bilingual and very fluent in English. My wife sent current photos of me to Lilia, and they scheduled a phone consultation with Dr. Quiroz.
Within a week of our first contact with Lilia, we had our phone interview with Dr. Quiroz. We were not given a hard sell of any kind. The conversation was very relaxed and not rushed. He answered our questions completely and thoroughly. Dr. Quiroz was confident yet humble. He made suggestions that we realized would make a significant difference in the surgery results (brow lift). We were both impressed with his personality and demeanor during this conversation. We had been impressed with his surgery photos prior but now we were also comfortable with the man. We decided to move ahead and wired our initial deposit.
At this point we now met the incredible patient care specialist Cynthia Lara Landgrave. Cynthia’s warmth comes right through the phone! She was extremely diligent with all the information that transfers from patient to clinic prior to arrival for surgery. Cynthia’s communication and professionalism could not have been better
As previously stated, the Vida shuttle (and driver) from the airport to Vida Wellness was quite easy. Maybe 30 minutes total.
Upon arriving Vida Wellness, you are instantly impressed! You drive up to a center that would be right at home in Miami, New York, or Dallas. The architecture of the building both inside and out is spectacular! Upon arrival, you are transferred from the wonderful Cynthia to the equally wonderful Rocio Valdez. The warmth of these ladies makes what might be a somewhat unnerving time so much easier. They both are genuinely very caring and sweet.
On the first day at Vida Wellness, you will do all your pre-op testing like Covid, EKG, etc. You will also receive a Swedish massage and HydraFacial from the magnificent Marisela Contreras. Marisela is another lady with the warmth and caring of an older sister.
The second day is surgery day. I honestly do not even remember that much about this day or the next two (which is a particularly good thing). I never experienced significant pain or discomfort at all.
After 2 days in the hospital room, you are moved to the recovery boutique. This “boutique” is the equivalent of a 3–4-star hotel in the states. It is beautiful, stylish, tranquil, and spotless. The ladies who run the boutique are also warm and caring and their patient care is as good as it gets. The three meals they serve you each day are particularly good. There are additional always food and drinks available in the dining room for between meals. As with the rest of the facility, the cleanliness is outstanding! There is an observation deck on the roof so you can get fresh air whenever you want. This deck gives you great views of downtown TJ.
I am writing this review at one-month post-op. I had a neck lift, facelift, and browlift and most people say I look 20-25 years younger. You can look at my photos and judge for yourselves. The care and attention post-op I received from Dr. Quiroz and his entire staff were perfect. I have had no adverse effects or pain from my surgery and would wholeheartedly and unconditionally recommend Dr. Quiroz, his staff, and Vida Wellness for any cosmetic surgery!
