Devastated

I had a FL, NL and Endoscopic brow lift on 10/13/21. After the bandages came off I realized that several inches of my hair was removed. So Much of my scalp with my native hair on it is gone. This is not hair loss around an incision site. This is far beyond losing side burns. The bald skin you see on my head is the skin that was previously on my face. The skin with my hair on it below these high incisions was cut off. My hair starts so far back on my head that it's absurd. You can see in the picture where I will need a hair transplant. You can also see in the before picture how nicely it used to come down in front of my ears.
I have been asking for him to help me rectify this for a year. I told him that I really had to save up for this facelift and his exact words were “then you can save up for a hair transplant”. I cried the whole way home from that appointment. I will have to have two hair transplants which are big surgeries where they must remove more strips of scalp from the back of my head to restore my hair back to a hairline that’s even close to something natural looking. I never expected to have to spend over $10,000 additional to try and restore my hair. I was pointed to the papers I signed and told he isn’t liable. In his last correspondence he told me I may need another FL in the future and offered to do it at no charge. A free facelift in 15-20 years doesn't help me with this unacceptable result. I would never use him again even if it was free.
People keep reaching out to me from my support group to tell me they showed my picture to their doctors in pre-op as they would never want this to happen to them. It stinks to be the poster child for an outcome that is horrifying to people. I’m also not happy with the way my ears look. You can see how the tragus looks flat and the lobes are now connected. I have what is likely permanent numbness in most of my face and under my chin.
I could live with all of that though, just not having my hair removed. It makes it worse for me that I have no recourse and he won’t help. I’m still in shock everyday, I have so much remorse. I wish I had picked any of the other doctors I consulted with. I paid almost 30K (surgery plus anesthesia) In my opinion I should not be dealing with this.
Lastly, it is pertinent to mention that I did not know until after my surgery that he has successfully sued another patient for defamation. The details of which are public information. This would have weighed heavily in my decision had I had known.

Like my trainer said, if someone only has excellent reviews, she knows they are not an authentic representation of that person. NO ONE only has excellent reviews.
Hi there,
Thank you for your comment - I wanted to get back to you and let you know how you can filter a provider's reviews. Provider reviews are automatically sorted to show those that are in the 'featured' tab - but if you would like to see others (including recent, lowest rating and/or highest rating) you can do so by changing how they sort. Please let us know anytime if you have any further queries via contactus@realself.com
So can RS add the sort by star function, sort by date, under the doctor name? The way it is now is not user friendly. And frankly, misleading.
Thanks for your feedback and I'm sorry this has been difficult to find.
The sort options are on a doctor's profile under the "Reviews" heading. There's an option to sort by procedure (as you mentioned) but also to sort by Featured, Highest, Lowest and Most Recent. Click on the arrow next to the "Sort By: Featured" option to choose the one you want.
Hope that helps.
