Natural Looking SMAS Lift

A good facelift is the one no one notice but you. I had a SMAS lower face and neck lift and no one noticed. No one saw me the first week and I showed up to work by the end of the second week. I was concerned because I didn't think I look anything like me, but no one said anything about my face. However everyone said I look stiff and in pain since I could not turn my head. I said I had a stiff neck and no one asked any more questions. 

By the third week, I was looking almost normal, so I styled my hair uncovering my face a bit more and no one noticed. I am not even four week post op and by now there is no chance they could tell. It is really nice to see you had work on your face and still look like yourself. No one can really tell, but me. 

I obviously have scars around my ears and hair line, and I don't know if I will ever have the same range of motion on my neck, but it is still worth it. I am still a bit swollen. I have those muscle lumps on my neck that are not visible, but they will eventually go away. I no longer feel my cheeks hanging down when I look at my phone on work on my computer. I can now see my jaw line again and I don't have to smile all the time to conceal my jowls. 

I will go back for another facelift in ten years. definitely worth it. I believe one has to have realistic expectations about face rejuvenation. You are not going to look 20 years younger, but you will look your best; if you want to still look like yourself that is. Also, be aware that things will not come out perfect. 

My incision are not the same on both sides, so before bashing a surgeon for uneven scars, consider how many years you have been applying eyeliner to yourself and when it has ever been identical on both sides. Also be aware that there are risks, I healed great because I am healthy, because I take care of myself, because I do not smoke or drink, and also because my system reacted well to the procedure, but not everyone is going to react the same, everyone is different. Going under the knife implies taking risks, and remember that cosmetic surgery is elective, no one forced you to have it.
