Facelift but What About my Midface?
I'm seriously disappointed with my surgeon. Why didn't he address my entire face including my midface? I was very clear I wanted my midface addressed and that I didn't want to use fillers anymore. This whole experience has given me PSTD. Thank god it's covid so I can cover my face.
I had been planning a facelift for over a year. Saving money and super excited. Every day in my inbox I would receive updates on others who had a facelift. I was excite and inspired by so many amazing transformations. My surgeon is very well respected and a very nice man. Everybody says so well at least those who work there. Before my surgery on multiple multiple occasions, I pointed out the lack of volume in my midface. I told him I did not want to use fillers anymore. I suggested fat grafting and/or a midface lift. He said that fat grafting does not work all that well and blew off the midface.
So I listened and went with his suggestion because he's the professional with vast years behind him.
Surgery is very serious business. One has to plan for down time from work and life.
So here I am a couple months after the surgery looking pretty much the same as before except my neck looks good. I'm emotional and sad and trying to figure out my next steps. should be elated after surgery but look at my pictures... he failed to address my midface. I feel like it was bait and switch and he got paid.
I would appreciate any physicians input for next steps? Ocular plastic surgeon? Fat Grafting? Filler (sigh?)
