Major Hypertrophic Scars

I had a lower lift at 50 which looked great with no visible scars but left a small groove on my left jaw which got deeper with age. After 7 years, I went to Dr. Struck to fix the groove. He was very pleasant with a great bed-side manner and reassured that this would be a super easy revision. I expressed my concerns about scaring multiple times and even asked him to charge me more and spend more time on stitches but he was confident that since I had no visible scars the first time this would be an easy fix. My revision surgery on 11/29/22 seemed extremely short and took less than 2 hours which concerned me. I felt severe pulling/itching, and not only the groove was not fixed, within a month I developed horrible hypertrophic scars. After multiple steroid injections and no results, I consulted with other surgeons who believed I only had the skin pulled and not enough deep tissues - resulting in tension and scarring. Dr Struck continued to be very positive and pleasant, and insisted on me letting him fix the issue by adding more deeper stitches. Less than 5 mons later he did another revision with the same disastrous results. Although his office immediately returned my money, but the pain and suffering of going through 2 operations in less than a year, the constant torturous itching and the embarrassment of hiding my ears for almost two years was beyond tragic for me. I still have PTSD from it! Finally in March 24 I had a revision with an amazing surgeon who believed my hypertrophic scars were due to not getting a deep lift and just a superficial skin pull. Dr. Struck seems lovely and I’m sure very talented in other areas, but he SHOULD NOT perform facelifts!
