I look like me, not at all unnatural

I live part-time in Mexico so it made sense for me to do a facelift in Mexico because it's much more affordable. I did a lot of research. Based on board certification, credentials, experience, reviews, and recommendations, I landed with Dr. Nashielli. I couldn't be more pleased with the experience and the results. I had a full facelift and eyelift. After interviewing 4 doctors, I chose Dr. Nashielli because she is straight-forward, was realistic about the results (and made sure I was), and wasn't trying to sell me more procedures, as another doctor did. She is also warm and personable and took the time to make sure all of my questions were answered. The experience was very smooth in Guadalajara, aided by Lori, who helps arrange everything, and Magda, the nurse in the office. Great team. The hospital was very nice, more like a hotel, and the nurses and staff were great and attentive (with the exception of the night nurses, who were less reliable). I speak Spanish, but it would have been fine with no Spanish (maybe if a friend who spoke Spanish stayed overnight, or Lori can help find that service). 7-hour surgery. Dr. Nashielli checked me out the next day, then I went to stay at Emma's Recovery Center, where I had a whole apartment to myself, and she brought three healthy meals a day. It was great to know there was someone there to take care of me. I was going to go stay in a friend's apartment in Guadalajara, but I ended up staying the whole week at Emma's--she and her husband were wonderful. It was lots easier and I really didn't feel like going out and finding food, etc. After a week, Dr. Nashielle took out my eye stitches, checked me out, and answered all my questions about after-care. I flew home that evening. The whole recuperation has taken longer than I expected, but is absolutely normal. After two months I still have some puffiness, which is to be expected. I have been going to a lymphatic massage therapist who specialists in post-op massage, and she is fantastic. If you're going to have a procedure in another country, it's good to have someone who is experienced nearby. It was reassuring when she told me that my doctor did a beautiful job and I was healing really well, because it is a long process. You don't presto have a new face in a couple weeks. Anyway, my face still has some swelling to go down, but I'm very happy with the results. I look like me, not at all unnatural. I look MORE like me than I did before when I had a turkey wattle and looked tired and angry all the time.
