How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

So Happy!
It’s been almost 9 weeks since my procedures with Dr Boggess at Youthful Reflections and I’ve been meaning to write a review since I got back to Canada as the entire experience really could not have been better and I want everyone who works there to know how much I appreciate them!
From the initial consultation to the post procedure follow up I just felt so taken care of and confident that i had picked the best surgeon. Dr Boggess has been performing facial rejuvenation surgeries for a long time and his results are beautiful (take a look at his online gallery) However despite being very busy and performing thousands of these surgeries somehow he has remained so down to earth and spaces his surgeries so it really seems like he has all the time in the world for you.
This also applies to Bernadette who accommodated date changes, answered a million questions from me in the months leading up to the surgery and was so patient as i was very stressed about travelling with my family during covid. I really can’t stress what a difference it made that everyone who works at Youthful Reflections is just so nice (and a special shout out to Gary and Alex too who made all the pre and post procedure bits way more enjoyable! :-) I really do believe that a lot of other busy practices forget how important this personal aspect of patient care is and what a difference it makes to the overall experience so thank you!
In terms of the procedures I had a lower face and neck lift, brow lift, upper blepharoplasty, CO2 and fat transfer. I had the procedures under local anaesthetic and sedation which was a great option as my budget was pretty tight however i’m not sure that I’d choose that option again as it was pretty uncomfortable towards the end. I also felt pretty awful the week after mainly because of a weird reaction to medication which gave me horrible restless legs (so it's unlikely to happen to anyone else!) and pain meds/ antibiotics also make me feel rubbish and very nauseous anyway.
The pain from the facelift itself was completely tolerable. I had a little freak out at how swollen I was during the first week but by the end of week two i honestly looked completely presentable and since about week three I’ve felt really delighted with the results. It’s hard as the results are so insanely natural that you find yourself wondering if you’ve always looked this good until you see a before picture again. My husband thinks this is the best i’ve ever looked.
My eyes look fresher, the hooding has gone and my brows have been lifted and are more symmetrical, I have a jaw line instead of loose skin and I just generally look fresher and younger which was exactly what i wanted! The fat transfer has added the perfect amount of volume and looks so much more natural than dermal fillers that i will never go back! I’m relatively young for a facelift (44) but i don’t have great bone structure so i feel i looked a lot older than i should.
A few years before the surgery i spent an absolute fortune on dermal fillers ( i’d been using them anyway but went for a full face filler rejuvenation with an expert in LA) and they looked good (although not super natural like this) but after a year or so they were gone and I really felt so sick at the amount of money I’d spent on something so temporary that I started researching facelifts and I’m very happy I found Dr Boggess. I’ve had no real wobbles along the way with healing/results and I am super critical so if something looked off at all I would be freaking out.
I’m obviously still in the healing process and have areas of numbness and can still see my incisions but this is the time scale i was told to expect. I’m also so confident that if something did go wrong (unlikely now) i’d be in good hands in terms of resolving it which is again so important to feel as a patient. I really am so happy with how smooth the whole process has been and so grateful to everyone at Youthful Reflections. If you are currently researching surgeons and Dr Boggess is on your list I would not hesitate to recommend him :-) I might post some pics soon if i'm feeling brave!
