My father recently underwent a complex facial rejuvenation procedure with Dr. Stefano Cotrufo in London, including a mid-face lift, upper and lower eyelid surgery, neck contouring, double chin fat reduction, and jawline/chin enhancement. We travelled all the way from Egypt specifically for this surgery, and I can honestly say that choosing Dr. Cotrufo was one of the best decisions we have ever made.
What impressed me most was not the surgery itself, but the level of professionalism, ethics, and genuine care shown throughout the entire journey.
Our operation was postponed twice. The first delay was because my father had not completely stopped nicotine as instructed. The second was because his MRSA test came back positive. On both occasions, my father and I were eager to proceed, yet Dr. Cotrufo refused to compromise on safety or results. In fact, he offered to refund the entire surgical fee if we preferred not to wait. That level of integrity is incredibly rare. He consistently put my father's health and long-term outcome ahead of everything else, including his own convenience.
From the very first consultation, Dr. Cotrufo demonstrated remarkable patience. Every detail of the procedure was explained thoroughly and honestly. By the time surgery day arrived, we understood exactly what was going to happen, why it was being done, and what to expect during recovery. There were no surprises, no rushed conversations, and no unanswered questions.
The surgery itself proved more challenging than anticipated because my father's blood pressure repeatedly increased during the procedure, which significantly extended the operating time. As a son waiting and worrying, this was naturally a very stressful experience. However, Dr. Cotrufo and his team continuously reassured me, kept me informed, and made sure I felt supported throughout the entire process.
I would also like to thank the exceptional nursing team: Alberto, Veronica, and Amin. Their kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail were outstanding. They treated my father with genuine compassion and made a difficult experience feel far more comfortable than we could have imagined.
A special mention must go to Holly, the patient coordinator. She was honestly one of the main reasons we felt confident moving forward with Dr. Cotrufo. No matter the time, she always replied quickly, patiently, and professionally. She made us feel as though there was a 24-hour support service available whenever we needed guidance. Every question was answered, every concern was addressed, and she consistently went above and beyond to help us.
What truly amazed me was Dr. Cotrufo's dedication after surgery. The operation began at 8:00 AM and, due to the unexpected challenges, continued far longer than planned. Yet despite this, he remained available, checked on my father personally, and continued caring for him throughout the night. We eventually left around 2:00 PM the following day. Seeing that level of commitment from a surgeon was something I will never forget.
As a family who travelled internationally from Egypt for this procedure, we placed an enormous amount of trust in Dr. Cotrufo and his team. Looking back, we could not have chosen better. Exceptional surgical skill is important, but finding a surgeon with integrity, honesty, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to patient safety is far rarer.
