For Karen

WORTH IT
For some reason I can’t see any reviews other than the one I replied to this morning. I wanted to add more pics for Karen from Brisbane. These are untouched pictures, no editing or filters. And no coaching from the doctor on my review. I did have a hematoma shortly after what you called my “after” picture, but Dr Carmona took care of it yesterday. I’m sure everyone is different in the way they heal and the time it takes. I only had the head bandages on for 1 day and all stitches were removed at 7 days.

Hi Karen, thanks for posting, you look just marvelous. I am so happy for you! Could you tell us more about your experience in Mex. & the total cost of your surgery, how long you were there & just anything that would help us who are contemplating going out of the US to do this. I know I want to have your same doctor, but I’m scared of the unknown & the pain & I will probably have to go alone. Please keep posting your progress & pics of your scar lines, if you don’t mind? I hope you are not in a lot of pain & you are in good spirits post operative. Again, you look wonderful! Carolyn
Can you please tell me about costs for procedures and recovery house. Thank you
I live about an hour south of Cancun so did not have any experience with staying there for recovery. The cost was $5800 for everything except the meds $20, EKG $60, and blood work $35. The additional expenses are approximate. Dr Carmona has a price list on his website. Or call or email Danny. She’s great and will answer all your questions.
Thanks. I live here so can’t speak to the travel aspect. I had a friend with me which was helpful. When you wake up from surgery, your face and eyes are bandaged so no sight. Dr Carmona comes in the following morning and removes them, but that first night (in the hospital) would be a little daunting if you’re alone. There is truly very little pain. Talk to Danny at the office. She will answer all your questions and I know they offer packages that include hotel stays for several nights post-op. Good luck.
WOW....15-50 years younger! I would love to see more pictures!

Your results are wonderful! When I look at this closeup pic of your ear incisions, there appears to be a blurred area right over your ear lobe. Am I correct and if so, why?

Feeling Refreshed...

After researching plastic surgeons in Cancun and meeting with Dr Carmona, I felt very comfortable choosing him to do my facelift. He is very professional and visionary in his ability to deliver a pleasing result. I called him my ‘artist’ because that is how I felt he approached the procedure. It’s not a cookie-cutter process, but individualized for the needs of each patient. I am 10 days post-op and beyond pleased with my results. There is still a little tightness around my jawline and neck, but 90%+ of the bruising is gone and I have no pain. I would highly recommend him and have already discussed additional procedures with him. His staff is excellent...very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive to help or answer any questions.

I'm thrilled to hear that you are happy with your results already! Please keep us posted as you continue to heal!

Wow. You look amazing!! 20+ years younger! I am so happy for you! Enjoy every minute!!
You seriously look like your daughter (from previous picture). Great work!!
Wow! What amazing work he did to your beautiful face. Would you share what all you had done? Looks like upper and lower bleph on the eyes. Did he do any fat grafting there? Also how is your scarring around your ears? Does it go back under you hairline?
Thanks so much for posting and wishing you continued ease in healing!
Thanks for the compliment. This is the description of what I had done directly from Dr Carmona’s website, Major Facelift/Macslift (Jowls, lateral cheeks + neck and blepharoplasty)...no fat grafting. I’ll post a pic taken this morning of the incisions, 15 days post-op. The ones just below my temples and behind my ears still have some scabbing, but the ones in front of my ears look really good. The only ones not hidden in my hairline are the ones below my temples, but I’m sure some of that depends on individual hairlines. My “after” picture was taken last Wednesday and on Thursday I had some dark bruising reappear in front of my ears and along my jawline. I had tripped, but caught myself on Tuesday, ended up getting a small hematoma behind my left ear. Saw Dr Carmona yesterday and he drained some of the blood off. It was quick and didn’t hurt. If your contemplating surgery in Cancun, I would highly recommend Dr Carmona.
You’re looking great. I’m keeping my eye on him but do very scared of going out of the country. We go to Cancun for vacay. I will need to see him on our next trip.... please keep posting. Thank you!!
