My only problem now is my right ear it is very sore at the bottom finally had someone take a pic to send off to the doc ...
I feel my face coming back to life with the numbness going away and the lumps slowly not being has hard..still sleeping on back per instructions..man just want to sleep on side but dont want to,put that pressure or mess up anything
So I will see what the doc says about my right ear ...

Thank for the update, and would love to hear what Dr. H says about your ear. You look great though! I get my stitches out Monday. I'm still sleeping elevated 45 degrees but find myself waking up on my side. Hope I'm not doing damage.
Wondering if ant damage was done by sleeping on your side? I’m having trouble staying on my back.
I too love sleeping in my side but the one time I did, even wearing the compression garment I woke up sore and more swollen in that side. I’m 3 weeks out . Cant wait to see the final outcome
You look great, the hard part is over and now just healing! Are you still taking arnica? Also, on one of your photos you had a little neck pillow, what did you use that for? BTW, you look sooo good, fresher and younger you! That is what we all want. I am 54 and go between days of oh its not so bad to glimpses of myself of OMG who is that old woman! Cant wait to see your pic all done up!
Hi and thank you so much for taking us on this journey with you. So very helpful. How are you now? Was it totally worth it?
Wow! You look great. Keep us posted and let us know if your ear is improving.

12 days

Day 12
Life is back to normal still have scans around ears and behind ears and under chin , using my scar strips . Wash my hair every2-3 days and am careful around the scar areas doc said the longer I let the scabs stay the better the scar will be so ...and still sleeping at 45 ° angle although I do find myself scooting down sometimes but keeping straight up I put pillows on both sides so I don’t roll over. My swelling is much less although I’m not doing too much strenuous stuff in fact I think I’m gonna try to work out next week Doctor said be careful putting my head down etc. and of course I’m going to be careful not to stretch the scars. But here’s my updated picture today 12 days and I’m pretty happy I can’t wait to get the six week mark... so I would rate even at this point I am a five of happy if nothing even improved more than this and I know it will.. put a before and after picture even though one is a little closer you can see my gowls are gone and my neck is smooth.. and you could see how the scar is healing behind my ear the other ones still have the silicone on them so you can’t really tell.

You look amazing! Congrats!
You look amazing. The Dr did a great job making sure you didn't look like you were in a fight.
You look amazing. How long did you stay in Asheville the first time after your surgery.
We went 2 Days before the surgery and we stayed seven days total after the surgery for the doctor so he could remove the stitches and take a look at things before we flew

Day 6/7 suture removal

Sutures came out today woke up this morning and took a shower did my hair put on make up for the first time... I feel pretty good went to get my stitches out I’m a little swollen around the neck and ear area ..so I feel a little distorted but it’s completely normal after seven days. We will be flying back today so we’re trying to ice a lot before we get on the plane. The removal of the sutures was easy no pain and they put tape back on my scars (silicon tape) with instructions on what to do for the rest of the healing .. feel like anyone who didn’t know me and saw me would not think anything other than silicon strip under my chin.. my only concern is my Jaw line is very undefined at this time when it used to be defined but per the doctor most likely swelling. Now on to taking care of my scars to make sure that they are as invisible as possible..
Now instead of daily updates I will give you weekly and then monthly..

It will look great! That is just a lot of swelling.
What is the name of the scar strips to use?
Mepitac silicone gel tapes?
Thank you
How do you take care of the backs of your ears? Do you or someone to help you do that?
