Fabulous Clinic and Surgeon!

WORTH IT$13,605
After an 80lb weight loss 6 years ago, (I'm 60) I decided to embark on some body repairs:
1. COMPLETED Nov 25/2018 was a breast reconstruction (due to both sag and encapsulated implant) and brachioplasty to keep me from flying off. Apologies but I have no before pictures for this.
2. Just COMPLETED Feb 12/2019 Rhytidectomy, blepharoplasty and PEARL Fractional
I am still very swollen and bruised but I have had an exceptional experience and believe I will have a tremendous outcome.
NOTE: We had a snowstorm the night before my surgery and I was worried it would get canceled. The nurses who lived nearby walked in and the surgeon walked SEVERAL miles in the snow to be at the clinic to get going at the appointed time! Fortunately, I had checked into a hotel across the street so as not to be the one who couldn't get there.
Because this was a lengthy (5-6 hours) surgery, I had twilight anesthetic and was worried about it but it was wonderful...absolutely no issues. I apparently was talking to the team at a couple of points during my surgery to make sure they were ok, taking breaks and to excuse them to use the bathroom if they needed!!
I knew the aftercare would be tremendous - this is an amazing team. I was completely attended to and looked after by everyone. I received pre and post-surgical skin care products and counseling.
The items that I was least expecting: The amount of blood on Day 1 following the Pearl fractional (done at the end of my surgery). I had quite a bit and it pooled in my neck the first night. I recovered quickly over the next several days. I was also surprised at the amount of jaw/toot pain. I am still having difficulty opening my mouth wide (Day 9) and I will often get a sharp pain in my jaw when chewing. I think once the swelling goes down, this will correct itself.
As of today, I am delighted with the daily improvements I see - I know I have a ways to go before I'm out in public and healed but I'm thrilled with the progress thus far.

Progress Week 2

dart8
The first week was pretty rough - tough to sleep or eat or even watch tv. You are pretty much forced to rest which, I guess, is the plan anyway. After getting most of the stitches out I found a major corner had been turned...everything got easier although still, as expected, considerable swelling and bruising yet to heal. I feel like I am on the right track and healing well. My follow-up appointments have been very positive and I feel well enough? to ... gulp...think about my 3rd and perhaps last surgery!

Day 15 Face lift/Blepharoplasty

dart8
Day 15
There is a lot to be happy with. I am getting sensation back to the numb areas, my scars are generally healing well, swelling still going down and the bruising is fading. I have 2 meetings tomorrow so will have to "face" the world!
Concerns:
I'm not ready to bother the doctor yet as I am still just 2+ weeks post-op but my throat is still very swollen and tight. In my side photos, it looks like I have a double-chin. I have had a double chin for years but it was droopy so this tight one is better but I sure hope this area of the swelling subsides!
Also, my jaw has not entirely settled down - I cannot open my mouth very far before some jaw joint pain clicks in. It is getting a bit better so I won't sound any alarms just yet.
I have only one odd incision, right hand just below/behind my earlobe...again, I know it is early so I will just see how this progresses over the next few weeks.

Thank you for posting! Super helpful... you look MUCH younger thank 60- good skin. How’s the neck swelling and ear incisions? You don’t have any incisions under your chin, right?

OMG I'm just like you I lost 80 lbs took over a year to do it, and 5 years later still keeping most of it off I still go up and down by 20. I decided to get a face lift cause of all the hanging skin and I had mine 3 months ago. So I read your post and can completely relate. Most of what you are still experiencing is normal I didn't swell like you but others have and all say watch the salt and guzzle the water. Yes it was 3-4 weeks before I could really open my mouth and it was always harder to open first thing in the morning. BTW you look great. My next surgery is going to be my arms and maybe a big maybe brow lift. I would also like to lipo my stomach. My incision took awhile to heal the doctor just flicked a scab off last week. You have a good motto mantra it is early it's from what I've read from what the doctor says it truly takes a year for everything to come together with a facelift. So keep us posted!
