The Best Experience One Could Hope For!

Dear Dr. Karolak,
I wanted to write you and your staff to let you know how happy I am with my results. It’s been about a little over six months since my surgery for a lower face, neck and temporal lift.
In my mid twenties, I had my nose and chin done in New York City. This was before we had social media and the internet was not much of a thing. One of the surgeons was on the list of best cosmetic surgeons in NYC, the other was Interviewed in Vogue magazine, so, I felt confident that I was in great hands. Unfortunately this was not the case. Came to learn they just had great publicity. Fast forward two decades, and in my early fifties, I’d been feeling very self conscious around the loose skin under my jaw and the heaviness I had around my eyes. I looked tired, but, inside I felt quite the opposite.
I tried to just forget about it, not to look in the mirror to much, and just accept the aging process. It wasn’t that I wanted to look younger, I just didn’t want to appear tired and worn out. I began my slow search for the right surgeon, someone with great credentials and trustworthy, it’s my face after all. I asked my dermatologist for recommendations, checked out REAL SELF magazine, did some deep dives to see what docs some celebrities went to, social media etc.. This search went on for a couple years. I met with three of the top cosmetic surgeons in NYC for a consultation, but, still did not feel 100% confident I had found the right person.
Then... Dr. Karolak popped up on my feed on Instagram! Wow! The before and after photos blew me away. So natural, this was exactly what I was looking for. I continued to check in to see more photos and videos periodically over a year or so. Finally, this past summer I made an appointment for a consultation. I was greeted with smiles and a warm welcome from his lovely staff. What I love about Dr. Karolak, aside from his artistry as a cosmetic surgeon, he is so kind and humble, no ego, not trying to push anything on you. You know you are conversing with a genuine good human being. I knew at this point, in my gut, he was the right person, and set a date for the surgery. A few months later I met my best friend at Newark airport, we drove down to South Jersey, checked into our beautiful Airbnb beach rental. The next day I went into surgery without any nervousness at all. Everything went perfect. Dr. Karolak and his staff checked in with me daily, and welcomed my random texts and calls with questions throughout the healing process. It’s pretty amazing how quickly the swelling starts to subside and how minor the discomfort was. My friend was a GREAT support, and were able to enjoy our quiet week reconnecting and watching the end of summer sunsets.
Today when I look in the mirror, I see myself, only without the tiredness. Free from feeling self conscious and wanting to cover my neck with a scarf. Thank you again Dr. Karolak!!!!!
