Pictures at about 10 weeks post op. Overall still very happy with my results. I still do have a small lump on the left side of my neck but it is decreasing. This is where I developed a small hematoma.

Hello dear! Thanks for your story. I had my face lift done June 6 and today is my 9th day. after the surgery. I compare my healing process with yours and yours seems much faster! I developed bigger hematomas on my right side. Even after drainage it is still there. A lot of bruising under the neck. I really hope it will be over. You look marvelous BTW! Is numbness completely gone? Because my forehead, areas around the ears and under the chin is still pretty numb. I wonder how long it might stay...
Oh, hang in there! Everyone heal differently but I think you will be pleased when it’s all said and done. I still do have numbness in my forehead and around my ears but I can tell it’s improving. just be patient and be extra good to yourself, as it takes a toll on you and your immune systems. I got shingles soon after returning home so even after 10 weeks I am just starting to feel normal again
OMG! Where the shingles popped up? On the face? or neck? What did you do? Sorry, I am asking may be stupid questions but I want to be prepared... Thanks!
Not on my face or neck but my waist. They are extremely painful and no fun at all. The Dr said that it may have been because my immune system was low.
You may see about getting a shingles shot before you go. when are you going?
My goodness! I hear shingles are not fun!!!! But that aside, you look fabulous! So much younger and bright eyed!! I love your results and wish you continued recovery.
I am 12 days after surgery. I plan to share my experience with realself community also. I figured couple of things that could of help me to heal faster. It is too late for me to fix, but might help the others while preparing for the facelift. It is sooo important to have a support during recovery... Thank you again for sharing your experience!
I had the same exact problem after my brow lift. I went for a two week post op check up and my ps walked in the room and said....” YOU HAVE SHINGLES “!!! I was in shock. I was under the impression that I was just allergic to the lotion I was using. My entire right eye was covered in shingles. Hope you’re doing ok by now. Good luck
Oh my, I was told it could cause blindness hopefully you had a quick recovery, I had them on my left side and wouldn’t wish them anybody. My Dr. said that it could have been a result of having surgery because my immune system was compromised. That’s one thing I didn’t read as I prepped for the surgery.

Bjcervi... you look fantastic!! Did you mention what type of facelift you had? I was wanting to know if he performs deep plane face lifts?

Bjcervi... I also wanted to know what would be the total cost of having surgery in Costa Rica? Is the 8,000 you have posted for everything... airfare, lodging, etc...?
The cost was 8000 for the surgery,the surgery center and the pre and post care provided by Dr. Lev. Airfare and lodging are an additional expense. I stayed with my daughter so I didn’t stay in any of the care facilities but I hear they provide really good after care. In terms of the kind of face lift his US coordinator Didi would be happy to provide those details.

Day 13

Finally got staples and stitches removed and I nearly have all of the dried blood and scabs out of my hair. I did have a small hematoma that the dr drained. Some residual bruising but making progress.

I know, it was a small one surrounding where the drainage tube was initially placed

Day 11

I was able to complete my dentL work this morning. Still some bruising and swelling mostly on the let lower neck and ear
