A caution - facelift had complications & result is a very 'surgical' look

An update with improved communication

I'm updating my review because I was very concerned and disappointed at the time of my original review posted. The doctor has been in contact with me regarding my concerns by taking a phone call appointment and I plan to see him to get some options regarding what I can do going forward. My neck and jawline have loosened considerably and the angle is not as sharp which is both good and bad. At this point, I'm just trying to have realistic expectations and hoping for some very open communication so tweaking going forward can be promising with positive outcomes.

ORIGINAL POST

A Caution

My facelift had complications. The result is a very "surgical' look overall, especially in my neck and jawline. Not enough time was spent on surgical pre-planning. Every facial surgeon I have seen since for second opinion and help has confirmed it is obvious when I walk into a room, that I had a facelift, and not a good facelift that should not be detected. My life has changed for sure--my confidence and security are social interactions all affected in a negative way. When people see me, they definitely do not say "wow, you look great". They ask me if I am "ok". I wish the Dr. had told me in advance that this was way beyond his level or expertise and experience before he operated. A very busy practice does not mean it's the best--it means you might not get the care and attention you deserve. We paid a very high price financially, but I would pay twice that much to have a normal, natural result, which is not possible now. I won't post pictures here--it's too devastating and I am embarrassed and feel ashamed I allowed this to happen. Self-shame is a powerful emotion that can destroy you from the inside out.

I strongly advise anyone having a facelift, NOT to allow the doctor to use Ultherapy. Dr. Lieberman did use ultherapy on my lower face after I paid for a full face and neck lift. Two years later, I have increased laxity and sagging in my lower face, lower cheeks which lost their support when the ultherapy removed fat, and fat loss on my jawline. Dr. Lieberman confirmed he used thed 4.5 deep headpiece which should not be used on faces. It is a fat dissolving, skin shrinking device that ultimately fails. This has all been confirmed by numerous facial plastic surgeons I have since seen and consulted with. I am hoping for a successful revision.
