Response from Dr. Hochstein:
Every surgery involves some kind of scarring and; although most people heal well, there is no way to know prior to the surgery who will scar badly. Seeing the post op picture, you can see the incision is closed perfectly meaning I did my part in setting her up for success. I never tried to convince her that everything was OK, On the contrary, I actually agreed with her & offered to redo it for free. All she had pay for the anesthesia since that is out of my hands.

Tanning??? has nothing to do with how my scarring looks. It’s a botched job... I recently visited top plastic surgeons in Manhattan New York and the scarring was told cold have been placed better.

How does your face look? I have surgery scheduled for 10/1. I don't care about scars as long as they're not on my face!

I'm not trying to minimize how you feel but I bet you are the only one that notices. I was mauled at 2, had my nose eaten off. Scars fade, soften and if protected from the sun will probably not even be noticeable. I hope you got fabulous results otherwise.

Sorry but scarring is part of the process.I would actually have liked to see how far he stretched your face back? Do you look 10 years younger?

Is it possible for you to have a revision maybe getting your scars closer to the crease of the ear ? Like cut it again and place the scar in a more desirable position ? I’m wishing you the best of luck ❤️

I counted on dr. Hochstein to live up to name.! He see me as guinea pig, ten decided to tell me come back wen i told I’m about my scar being visible.
I went in to remove sutures, wen I did the medical assistant removed my sutures and was socked wen she removed my bandages as noticed the huge piece of har that fell out, she was such In shock
She called in the office manger.
She then just said the dr. Will call you. That’s it!!!
That’s all I got. After everything I was assured I took his word. I had 100 questions he answered like I had should never worry and that I was in good hands. If you look at my ear yo can see that it looks cuffed in the ear (bend) it’s just a horrific gross malpractice. Just nothing I can do about it. Because they make sure they cover there asses. So he continues to operated and just say oh well there’s nothing I can do. Unless you come back and pa 1,500 toward anesthesia. WHY do you think I would go ack to you I said!!! You sold are done it right the 1st time.its my face!!!! My god have some compassion!! Wold you let your wife go through this experience and deal with hiding and knot able to go to family get togethers. I truly mean this real self readers beware of the sacrifice your willing to give.

Thank you for posting this. Even his attitude towards you via his response is condescending. The fact that he wanted you to pay for anesthesia so he could correct his own mistake is appalling.

I’m sorry you are unsatisfied with your results. It sounds like you’ve had many interventions. While expressing disappointment with the outcome perhaps all of us who elect such procedures consider discussing concerns directly with the actual surgeon prior to posting specifics to allow time for potential compensatory measures. Should pattern of emerge of many individuals reporting similar results, more objective conclusions may be drawn. The first step for all of us is to do our due diligence in performing background checks, assessing prior outcomes and having realistic expectations of our outward appearance - aesthetically pleasing is not synonymous with everyone’s definition of perfect. I wish you well in your healing and happiness.

wow I have read this over and over and to my understanding is that this girl should't have reported what happened to her? I think everyone has the right to know as how this doctor messed up.
May 3, 2019
I understand. Might be helpful to read more about what can potentially occur after posting specific unfavorable comments against an establishment or person.

In other words and to spell it out more clearly, when commenting on sires such as these and others that allow consumers to post reviews, it’s probably best to state things as objectively as possible. Such as, I’ve had other procedures done before and was pleased with the outcome,I was expecting such-&-such from this procedure, the results I experienced were - whatever - far below my expectations. The doctor was or was not as responsive to my concerns as I’d have hoped. There are slander and libel laws and we need to be mindful of these to protect everyone’s best interests including our own
May 3, 2019
realistic expectations is for the Doctor to admit that he made a mistake and not to charge her again! and fix it.
