Photo Comparison at 30 days

My experience has been great, and I am so happy I chose Dr. Lee. I highly recommend him!
Please understand that at 30 days you are not 100% done with healing. I still cover the incisions behind my ears because they are red colored and noticeable. I expect this to slowly get better over the next several months. I also have numbness in several spots like my right ear, both cheeks in front of my ears, and under my chin. But, I knew that this was common after a face and neck lift. But, I am ok with all these temporary effects, because I love my new profile. My turkey neck is gone!

~ Day 25 (Aug 2nd) Update. It's been almost a month since my surgery.

My stitches are barely noticeable in front of my ears. The stitches behind my ears still need to be hidden, but I know this will be the case for several more months. No regrets! I am so happy I did this.

Day 6 -12 Recovery: What I experienced

Day 6-7 (July 14-15) I attended a couple conference calls while on vacation. If I had the option to work for home, I could have resumed 8-hour workdays. When I say this, I mean that I could have resumed office work sitting in front of a computer and taking calls… nothing strenuous. I was feeling good except my cheeks near my ears were bruised, the stitches behind my ears were still red and tender, and there was bacitracin everywhere in my hair. Looking at me from the front, I looked pretty good. I was still sleeping inclined with the bandage on my head at night to hold the gauze in place behind my ears. I still was quite bruised, yellow/red/purple in spots.

Day 7 (July 16)- First official day back to work (virtually from home). I avoided video calls and used voice only.

Day 8 (July 17)- I returned to Dr. Lee’s office to get stitches removed from the front of ear and chin. The stitches behind ears are dissolvable. Dr. Lee examined my healing. I was also having a minor reaction to bacitracin on my right earlobe, so I was instructed to stop all bacitracin to use Aquafor for a red spot I had behind one of my ears. I worked from home the remainder of the day and took a video call. From the front, no one on the video call could tell anything. The bruises are still noticeable on my cheeks near my ears, but when I go in public, masks and hair placement cover everything. Incisions in front of my ears are already looking good!

Day 9-11- My front incisions start flaking dead skin, so I used a soft toothbrush to lightly brush them off before I go out for errands on the weekend or take work video calls.

Day 12 - I physically returned to my work campus wearing a mask. The backs of my ears still have noticeable incisions due to the dis-solvable stitches healing, my front incisions have minor peeling and are noticeable upon deep scrutiny, so I make sure to strategically place hair over anything my mask doesn’t cover at work.
