Mistakes happen, Doc should make it right

ORIGINAL POST

Mistakes happen but I can't even get a response from this office

Mini face-lift for neck skin & improve profile. Dr Shah was great at answering questions during appts. Mistakes happen, people w/ integrity fix them, but I can't even get a response from this office, let alone anyone fixing the mistake. See the pictures and judge for yourself.

Thank you for sharing. I’m so sorry, that is completely unacceptable! I would demand he fixes his botch job or get a refund.

He finally responded to me. He refused to give a refund and I don’t have confidence in him working on me. I’m looking into my options.

Shocking and very upsetting i would think is there not a board of surgeons you can take it to ?

I’m checking into my options now.

She needs too make a complaint big time!! I cant even believe he is licensed!!

I am reporting him to state attorney, the board, the Better Business Bureau, and anyone else I can think of. I had hoped to settle this without being a complete [RS bleep]. I don't want to fight or be mean, I just want my to be treated fairly.

Nevermind that last part of my comment. I just saw all the steps you have taken so far to make sure he doesn't get away with this, and he doesn't do it to anyone else.

Yeah, he needs to make it right. And I don't blame you one bit for not wanting him to fix it. Although, he may do an extra good job considering how vocal you've been about how disappointed you are with your procedure. I'm sure he would what to make sure you were 100 percent happy so you would maybe take down the bad reviews. But that is unacceptable. You paid way to much money for you not to have a very noticeable result. I'm sorry you have to deal with this. I'd be really pissed and probably would have already taken this way further then you have.

Dr. Responded

Ronda9220
In order to be fair, I do want to disclose that Dr. Shah did respond to my letters via email. The letter was very polite but he stated he “can’t refund my money”. We all know he can. I had hoped he would be willing to remedy the situation amicably but at this time I am checking into my options.

He needs to do something!! That doesn't look good on him at all! All he needs too do is fix the ear lobe and clean up the scar! Very sloppy for a plastic surgeon! That's so very unfair to you ! Your beautiful regards but what he did looks like a unlicensed doctor with no training did that!! He should be ashamed and willing to give your money back so you can have the mess he made fixed! There are very good doctors out there and that's a very easy fix ! My heart goes out too you and I hope he steps up and does what's right !! REFUND HER MONEY!! And you need too made a complaint to the medical boards !! Just cant believe a licensed plastic surgeon did that!! Again my friend wish you only the best!

Thank you! In fairness, he did offer to fix my ears for free, but I think I'd be a fool to let him work on me again. This may sound petty, but I am really sad about this. I have wanted to have a nice profile/chin since I was around 20. It took me 30 years to have the money and it was a dream come true that turned into a nightmare.

I don't know how a person is supposed to find a good doctor. Dr. Shah is board certified, has many years of experience, a successful practice, and took a lot of time with me. I'm afraid to choose another surgeon to fix this.

I'm curious, was the scar always like that or is the ear pulling down making it worse?
September 3, 2019
There was no scar before the surgery. He created the scar and messed up the ears. My understanding is that the ears are not that hard to fix, but no way to fix that scar. The whole thing is a botch job and hard to believe an experienced surgeon did this.

I think you misunderstood me. I was asking if the ear had further descended since surgery. I read something about ears being incorrectly attached to the SMAS that pulls them down. They can fix the ears if there is enough skin to pull the ear lobe up into its correct position and resew the skin. Even if there was a scar, they most likely would be better than what you have. Yes, I know what you mean. I'm not happy with my ears and my doctor also had 30+ years experience and really good detailed pictures.

And the scar was always like you see here.
