Dr. Burnstine is one of the most compassionate, caring, kind, and thorough surgeons I know, and I'm an ER nurse, so I've met plenty! From the first consult to the day of surgery and follow-up visits, Dr. Burnstine's highest priorities were giving me the most aesthetically pleasing results, making sure that I understood the process, and alleviating any fears I had. He always responded to my questions promptly, which was much appreciated. My only regret is not doing it sooner! I had bilateral ptosis repair with upper and lower blepharoplasty in December 2017. If you've been considering eyelid surgery, go see Dr. Burnstine, I promise you'll be glad you did!

Wow, those are great results!
Thank you!
Yes, you look amazing! Great results!
Thank you!
do you think 9 days is good enough to go back to work if i was just getting upper done?
It depends on what you do for a living. You’ll likely still have some bruising, and you won’t be able to wear make-up, in fact the bruising will actually look like eye shadow :), but as long as you don’t have a super strenuous job, and you don’t mind going in barefaced- then 9 days should be fine. You shouldn’t have any pain beyond he first few days and the swelling subsided pretty quickly as long as you’re diligent about resting and icing as ordered.
you had skin removed on your top eye lid?
Yes. Skin removed from upper lids, and fat removed from underneath. Then repair of the droopy lids as well.
i a told i just need a minimal amount of skin removed from my upper eye lid.. did you have the same thing???? were you okay in about a week with the upper eye????
Yes, I had skin removed from my upper eyes. If you look at the picture collage - that’s what the healing looked like at 7 days (see bottom right pic). The bruising was almost completely gone at 14 days. Just FYI, no makeup for 21-30 days.

You’ll be putting ointment on your lids for at least a week, maybe longer. (I had to put it inside my lower lids too), but once that was done I could see fine. If you’re able to take more time off, I say go for it!
lower lids even though im only having the upper eye lid surgery?? so a week prob not enough?? i wear contacts so i know i wil be in glases for a while
No, I doubt you’ll need to put ointment on your lower lids, I was only saying I had to do both. :) Yes, glasses only for a while! good luck with your procedure!
Nice job!! You look even better than before. Was a this done under local? IV sedation? In office? Surgery center? Thank you :-D
Thanks :) it was IV sedation at a surgery center.
did you have alot of skin on the upper though or just a little to be removed??
i worry bout needing same surgery again in 10 years!!! which is most likley to happen
