Fillers for upper eyelid

I have never shared a review, but feel compelled to do so to help other people. I have been thrilled with the expertise of Dr. Torgerson and highly recommend him!!! I never thought that I could get my upper eyelids fixed, but Dr. Torgerson was able to do this and even better than I imagined.

I’m a female in my late thirties and when I turned 35 started to notice deep hollowing of my upper eyelids. Even after a lot of research, I couldn’t find any doctors who were able to use fillers to help the upper eyelid area except for a doctor in LA. So initially through another doctor, I spent a lot of money on laser treatments and that only helped minimally and disappointing couldn’t address the loss of volume. Started my search again which led me to Dr. Torgerson at the age of 38 years old.

I put a lot of thought into pursuing fillers and looking at other alternatives. In the end, I still wanted to do fillers because they can be dissolved if it goes wrong and I passed on doing a fat transfer because there are more permanent risks. Dr. Torgerson was very professional and made me feel comfortable. The fillers dramatically changed my upper eyelids and gave me that youthful look again and the hollowing was gone. However, afterwards I started to notice that there was a slight crease on my left eye lid and none in my right eyelid (close to the lash line), so I went back to put in more filler closer to the crease. Dr. Torgerson advised against it and I really should have listened to him, but I insisted. Unfortunately even though a tiny amount was injected it made my creases look a lot larger and it became more asymetrical. I went back a week later to have it partially dissolved and he did recommend to wait a bit longer because there could have been still some swelling. What I appreciate is that he is more conservative and really does try to help you achieve a natural youthful look. However, I begged to have it partially dissolved because it was stressing me out. I have to say that it was very scary because afterwards the area that was partially dissolved started to sag, deflated and looked wrinkly. I was so freaked out that I had created another problem, but I had to give it time to adjust and heal. I was very fortunate that this actually helped to create a beautiful and more symmetrical crease in both eyes which made me so happy. But I had to give this a full month, so wait and give it time before you do anything or refill!!!!! Trust me I was so tempted to go back soon after and had to restrain myself. After a month, I noticed that once things did settle that the upper eyelid closer to the brow area did deflate a bit, so I went back have that re-filled and now it looks gorgeous!!!

Having gone through this, I know how my eyelids react and that they need to be filled higher up so that the creases stay symmetrical. Through this experience Dr. Torgerson was supportive and really gave advice to help me. His skill in fillers is amazing and I am elated with my results.
