Extreme Regret and Disappointment!

I waited a long time to write this review because I do not like leaving negative feedback, but I ultimately decided to share my experience because I have been living with daily anger, distress and regret!

I went to Dr. Harris seeking a lift to the outer corners of my eyelids and tightening of the skin under my eyes. I clearly showed him what I wanted, and he assured me he could achieve those results. I specifically asked him to explain exactly what he would be doing and the methods he would use from beginning to end. He told me he would be making incisions in the scalp and placing permanent stitches in the deeper layers to create tightening in the scalp to achieve the desired lift and tighten.

After the first operation, I was confused and disappointed because there was no lift whatsoever to the outer corners of my eyelids, they looked exactly the same, still drooping downward. Due to the lack of results, he agreed to redo the surgery at no cost.

After the second surgery and once the swelling had subsided, I still did not achieve the results that were discussed. The corners of my eyelids were still drooping down as before, there was no lift! At that point, it became clear to me that the outcome I wanted was never going to be achieved.

What makes this experience significantly worse is that Dr. Harris failed to inform me beforehand that he would be making approximately three inch long incisions on both sides of my scalp. Not only that, but removing long strips of scalp containing thousands upon thousands of perfectly healthy hair follicles and discarding them in the trash. I clearly saw this happen as I was awake and I witnessed them throwing it in the trash. I even commented “OMG goodbye to that hair forever” because I could see it was long strips of scalp with hair still attached to it!

This was done not once, but during both surgeries. Not once was I told this would happen. Had he told me this I would have done my research and never agreed to have healthy hair follicles permanently removed! These hair follicles never ever come back!

As a result, I now have noticeably thinner hair on both sides of my head. When I wear my hair up in a ponytail the long scars on each side of my scalp are clearly visible. This hair loss is permanent! Who would ever choose to do this?!

What is especially concerning is that there are other methods for performing this type of procedure that do not involve removing thousands of healthy hair follicles and throwing the healthy scalp in the trash, and many doctors strongly advise against this approach.

Do I regret this surgery every single day of my life? Absolutely! All it’s done is left me with visible scars and thinner hair! I am absolutely devastated.

All I can hope is that sharing my experience at least helps someone else make a more informed decision!
