What a quick recovery that was... swelling started to go down rapidly on day 5, continued on day 6 and was gone by day 7, which I when I had my stitches removed. I walked out of Dr Pacifico’s clinic looking like nothing was ever done to me, but with lovely, fresh looking eyes.
If you are in the U.K. and looking for a highly skilled but also warm and easy to approach surgeon who is always there for you if you have any concerns then take my word for it and go for Dr Pacifico.

Fifth day
I’m starting to look like a human being... swelling is now on its way down and I simply can’t wait to get the stitches out.

I think there is now light to be seen at the end of the tunnel... although I still look like I’ve been beaten up and tortured, I think the swelling is starting to go down. I also think that I now have eye lids!! Yay! The surgical tapes have started to peel off exposing a very neat and impressive incision. No sign of infection or anything nasty. I do have one worry though... I have extra skin flopping over the incision on my left eye. Praying it’s effects of swelling rather than skin that should have been removed.
