Hahaha. Whoops! Didn't realize I'd posted a photo a few days ago. Sorry y'all. I'm just really happy with the results.

You look absolutely wonderful! I seriously need my eyelids done. Looking at recent photos of myself, my lids are so droopy I look deformed :( Lol. Anyway, I am happy you came back to update us. I also like your doll baby mouth! Very seductive looking.

Thank you, Astrid! You may qualify for a medically necessitated bleph if your eyelids interfere with your vision. I'd have an exam if i were you! Did you read my fillers review? My lips are "enhanced". My natural lips thinned with ageeee! Boo. Thank goodness for fillers & surgery!

Absolutely!! You'll have to let me know what happens if you get a referral to oculoplasty!

Did you have to pass a field vision test to qualify for insurance coverage? And if so, was that test expensive? I’m trying to decide wether it’s worth persuing insurance coverage, but the test FV test is around 1000.00

My insurance covered the various examinations, surgery & prescriptions. Benefits of paying $1200/mo for HMO coverage I suppose.

It's worth asking your doc for a referral to a surgeon! My insurance is covering my surgery. Good luck and thank you!

Thank you! It's been two years and two months, I'm coming up on my 53rd birthday, and now I need a brow lift. Gravity is such a B*T*H! Hahaha.

Healing days 3-5

My eyes were super sensitive to light, irritated, and itchy so the doc suggested an antihistamine eye-drop in addition to warm compresses 4x a day. That and wearing sunglasses, even while indoors, helped quite a bit. I took a full body shower on day 3 and leaning my head back to rinse off the shampoo was painful. Too much tension on the incisions is my best guess. Suture lines are healing nicely, the black eyes are by far the worst looking part of my recovery.

I go in for my upper blepharoplasty today. Nervous and excited. Mine is under local as well. I see that you bruised on your lower lids too.I did not realize that happens. Good luck in your continued healing! The photos are very helpful.

It doesn’t happen to everyone! Hope your surgery went well. The worst part of the first few post up days for me was the itchy eyes! Antihistamine eyedrops helped a lot.

Hoping for an update... How are your eyes looking and feeling? Hope all is going great!

First of all even in our before pictures you don’t look anywhere near 50! 40 max and I can tell you don’t even wear makeup! even with all the bruising I can already tell your eyes will look amazing when they heal. please please please keep posting pix - I am almost 47 and have been thinking about eyelid surgery a lot.

Awww, thank you so much! I inherited pretty good genes but I also have some masterfully applied facial fillers. (Dr. David Mabrie is wonderful if you’re ever in SF!) I’ll try to add a few chronological updates with photos this weekend. My bruises haven’t faded 100% yet but Im feeling really good about my results.

Haha! Why, thank you! The blepharoplasty definitely took 10-15 years off my eyes.
