Upper bleph and facial fat grafting

Upper bleph and facial fat grafting

Lammerchops
$10,000
I consulted with 4 surgeons before deciding to go with Dr. Mike Roskies at Spa Medica in Toronto. Every surgeon proposed a different approach to addressing my concerns. One turned me away and told me to come back in 10 years. One quoted me $25k worth of work. Dr. Roskies was so relaxed. He struck the perfect balance between taking my concerns seriously and telling me what I did not need. He wasn't trying to make money off of me and I appreciated that. I felt so differently about my consult with him that I knew he was the one.
Surgery is in 13 days so I will update afterward.
I am getting upper bleph to eliminate age related hooding, and Dr. Roskies does an internal brow lift stitch as part of the bleph. I am also getting full facial fat grafting to look more youthful.

Can I ask how much the fat grafting cost?
November 26, 2020
Hi, it was $3400. Not sure if that quote was affected by the fact that I also got the bleph done at the same time.

Thank you so much for answering. How is the swelling post treatment?

Lots! Mild all over the face, but major on upper and lower lids, along with bruising. My eyes aren't completely closed but I look strange and my vision is affected. All normal apparently. Not painful, just weird.

How are your results now September 27th, 2021? Do you still recommend this Surgeon? Thank you. Karen

In line with all of the research I did pre-op, I look hideous. I had upper bleph, facial fat grafting (using fat from outer thighs), and a Morpheus8 treatment for overall rejuvenation. I believe Dr. Roskies mentioned that he injected stem cells to my undereye area to increase the look of fine lines and crepey skin that really bothers me.
I’m not in any pain. If I press on my temples where fat was injected, it’s sore, so I just don’t touch. Eyelids are majorly swollen and reddish bruising everywhere. Makes vision blurry which is more annoying than scary. Since I’m too gross looking to go out, I’m staying home trying not to die of boredom.
Obviously too soon to discuss results, symmetry, etc.
The experience itself was drastically different from my first cosmetic surgery I had done somewhere else a year go. Dr. Roskies spoke with me multiple times before the OR. Conversation was detailed in terms of what to expect but delivered in a relaxed manner. I had a nurse named Noreen who was an absolute angel. She was with me every step of the way and even held my hand throughout the procedure simply to comfort me. Can’t tell you how much those extra touches matter. I paid for this procedure but fear and anxiety still took over when I laid down in the OR. No one rushed, no one got annoyed (or at least not that they showed!), everyone said my comfort was their #1 priority. I felt very safe.
Hope the result is half as good as the operative experience!!

Are you happy with the results?

I am! Very happy. He did exactly what he said he would do. My upper eyelids look like they did years ago. You could barely see the scars after 8 weeks. And the fat transfer under the eyes gives me a "rested" look. Zero issues with looking puffy or overdone. If/When I want more work done, I'd absolutely go to him again, for both his patient care and his surgical skill.
