Upper & Lower Blepharoplasty

WORTH IT
At 66 I decided I needed some maintenance work on my eyes. Researched the upper and lower blepharoplasty and Soof lift procedures. I researched the procedures and surgeons and finally selected Dr. Soheila Rostami as my surgeon of choice for her ocular surgical expertise, artistic eye toward results, and because I have seen the fine, subtle results of her work on people I know. I'm only day 6 into my recovery and won't get my stitches out until day 7. The surgery was painless -- I did not need pain pills or even Tylenol post op but I do have a high pain threshold. I will tell you my eyes were and still are very sore, dry and get tired easily but I knew that would be the case beforehand. I have followed pre and post op instructions to the letter! I still look like I was on the losing end of a boxing match because I bruise so easily. I am impatient to have full recovery behind me and when I go back to work after one more week off I hope and pray I will look a whole lot better! In the meantime, I am posting pics to help people decide if they want to have this one. I will keep posting until I am pretty well healed. Fingers crossed for optimum, natural looking results.

Before pics

I had dark hollows under eyes. My right eye was looking lower than left eye. I had a lot of loose skin on eyelids and my right eye vision did not seem as good because of drooping eyelid. I have permanent makeup so that is why I look “made up” in all the recovery photos.

I glad you've had such a success. I hope you'll continue to post more pics as you heal. :)

Thank you, I will post after stitches come out tomorrow and then again a month later. Won't really know my full results until several months from now but I'm optimistic as I had an incredibly skilled ocular surgeon, Dr. Rostami.

Stitches Out Day Hooray!!

Dr. took the stitches out this morning . I can’t put any makeup on upper or lower eyelids but I am able to put Dermablend coverup on the red and yellow bruises all over my face. Since I’m alteady home for another week I went ahead and got Restylane in upper and lower lips and marionette lines. My analogy about all of this: It’s like redecorating your old worn out decor. You paint the living room and then your foyer looks like crap so you do more work...and spend more money....but what the hay, I’m thrilled with Dr. Rostami’s and Dr. Naz’s work and so far I’m loving my results. Eyes feel so much better with stitches out!! Eyes are still a bit sore but no issues with that. Now, if I can just get rid of red and yellow bruises all over my face I’ll be back to normal. Make that better than normal!!!

I think your lids turned out beautifully. I really like the amount of shelf that your doctor gave you. It's true about one procedure leading into the next LOL
I was going to do my surgeries in components, but I decided to have everything done all at once including a lip lift.
I imagine you're excited to be able to wear eye makeup!!
