Transformed the Crepey Skin Under My Eyes!
My undereye skin was starting to become very crepey. I had a TCA peel on it when I had my lower facelift but this year, I couldn't take it anymore. I had to always be putting eye cream on this area to try to smooth it out (I even carried undereye cream with me everywhere), but it was always crinkly. And it made me look much older than my 55 years.
So I sought out Dr. Hyans who did my lower facelift. (Now, truth be told, I had an upper eyelid blepharoplasty a year ago with an oculoplastic surgeon who has since retired and whom I had seen years earlier—before I had my first consultation with Dr. Hyans. In hindsight, I would have absolutely gone to Dr. Hyans for my upper eyelids too.Together the transformation is dramatic.)
But I didn't realize there was such a thing called a skin pinch blepharoplasty. During this procedure, the doctor literally just removes a pinch of skin to tighten the skin and get rid of the crepey texture.
I had the procedure done in the office under local anesthesia and it took about 30 or 40 minutes. It healed very quickly. What took the longest to heal (maybe about 6 weeks total) with the little bit of puffiness I had under the eyes.
