3 months to the day post second surgery

Healed well but end result is a just slightly better version of the same problem. My eyes are still asymmetric, with droop to one lower lid.

At my 6 week post op visit my surgeon agreed there was some slight asymmetry and encouraged me to use gentle upward strokes to lower lid to encourage blood flow. My next visit is three months away.

I don't anticipate much change between now and then. Not sure what my next step will be.

5 Week Update

I feel a bit of a mess at week 5. Eyes have healed enough to put on make up and return to work. I am concerned they are healing asymmetrically again. The droopy lid is still droopy and my left eye cannot open as wide as the right. Swelling still present in both eyes.

I am not seeing my surgeon for another two weeks and am hoping as my eyes continue to heal they will align better and not heal in this position.

Day 18

18 days post surgery now. Minor bruising still visible but easily covered up with makeup. Healing was going well however woke up yesterday with increased swelling. Not sure if this is from the remaining dissolving sutures still in place or allergy/hayfever. Pleased I took an extra week off work.

Dissolving sutures are still present in both eyes, I seem to lose one every couple of days, and I feel they are causing some irritation. I find my vision is occasionally blurry as well. I have had two scheduled post-op visits to my surgeon, one for review and one to remove non-dissolving sutures. He has no concerns and I will have a further follow up in a month.

Hard to assess result at this early stage given the swelling.
