Bad Experience and Scarring from Upper Bleph
I had an upper bleph with Dr. Khan in 2022. I waited a long time to write this review but I just keep seeing all these 5 star reviews and I had to share my experience. I'm sure she's done great work for other patients, but Dr. Khan messed up one of my eyelids and left me with a horrible scar. I've consulted with about 4 surgeons since then, some plastic and some just oculoplastic, and they all agreed that the scar was bad and the scar tissue will need to be excised. This happened because my stitches completely split apart in my left eye 3-4 days after surgery. I sent her pictures and did a video call with her and she assured me it would still heal fine. It did not. Picture below was taken as the wound was starting to close up. It also became infected because again this was an open wound and it was not closed properly. I was provided with antibiotics that cleared up the infection but the scar remains. I have visible scars on both eyes, actually, because (as I was told by another surgeon) she did not make the incisions along my natural crease. Anyway, I will get this revised one day in the future. For now I have fillers in my upper eyelids (put there by another surgeon) to help mask the scar and push it down so it's a little less noticeable.
