First Class Procedure from a Top Class Surgeon Dr Bramhall

WORTH IT
What an amazing experience from start to finish. Let me begin by explaining from consultation. Dr Bramhall was extremely professional & I knew from the start that I felt safe & had no fears or worries. He explained what my options were & in particular that due to my facial anatomy & presentation what would work, how he would proceed with the treatment & what to expect. For example that he would not take the incision on my right eye too far into the nose area as this could cause webbing & that this eye was significantly more hooded than the left (as can be seen in pics). Also that if proceeding with blepharoplasty that I couldn’t then decide to have a brow lift (all options were thoroughly explained & discussed). There was no pressure to book - instead it was a brilliant insight into how a surgeon at the top of his profession would individually treat me. His professional manner throughout was exemplary. The treatment day itself was straightforward - I was greeted very warmly & asked how I was & how I felt and taken into a completely clean sterile room and all staff were ppe prepped and every single person again asked how I was and were absolutely lovely. One even asked if I needed my hand held for the procedure. (I didn’t). I was then asked to sit on the treatment bed to turn facing Dr Bramhall in sitting position & asked to open and close my eyes for a few minutes so that he could mark incision lines. This was a through part at the start of the procedure. I was then reclined on the bed and kept informed of what to expect at each stage of the procedure. Was then injected with local anaesthetic (felt a few scratches of needle going in but same as dentist so was absolutely fine). Dr Bramhall asked how I felt and constantly checked throughout with me that I felt ok. (& had some music playing too which was easy to listen to). Obviously you know that work is being done on your eyes but I felt no pain at all - just the sensation of hands on my upper face moving as he worked. I just felt very safe throughout and was calm and before I knew it the procedure was finished. I was again asked how I was and if I had any questions (I didn’t as everything had been explained prior & throughout). I was given verbal aftercare in the treatment room - the stitches would be removed in 1 week & to use antibiotic cream for 5 days in eye can use cold compress and to gently clean. I then went into a separate darkened room with cups of tea & biscuits for 1/2 hour to ensure all well after procedure. I was then given my home pack with antibiotic cream, gauze and full written aftercare & contact details to contact the clinic at any time should I need to. Then home. Recovery was absolutely fine - I took 10 days after work to accommodate bruising / swelling and had bought a v pillow & slept upright for 14 days and used arnica and bromelain to aid recovery. Dr Bramhall in my opinion is a brilliant surgeon & I had researched him fully and knew that he was also a Nhs consultant at Glasgow Royal Infirmary so I knew that at that level of expertise at consultant level that I was in the very best of hands. I could not have asked for anything better & please if you’ve read this far do not hesitate to book for any procedure with Dr Bramhall. He is the best.

Did you get upper and lower? Did you have to massage your scars after surgery
Hi sorry late reply I just got uppers and didn’t massage after surgery till about 3 months till fully healed.
so you arent put to sleep for this procedure!? What if you accidently blick ,sneeze,or move?
You do have injections that numb the eye area and eyes are full closed during the procedure and aware of what is going on throughout. You can feel the eye area being worked on and if I felt the need to ask for a break or stop I was fully able to do so (but didn’t need to).
I’m getting an endotine brow lift and upper blesph in a few months. Thank you for your review that was very helpful. And sounds somewhat similar to my experience with my lower facelift. Just curious (bc you mention it in your review) what made you decide against a brow lift?
