Poor outcome - completely changed the shape/look of my eyes

ORIGINAL POST

Poor Experience/Outcome

Had upper Bleph. I’m 46 and wanted to look refreshed. We discussed how important it was to me to keep natural shape of eyes and def did not want overdone look. Had the surgery and it’s been a very poor experience. Eyes came out very asymmetric, one eye overdone (hallow), completely changed the shape/look of my eyes. This has been a poor experience for me.

I am so sorry to hear of your experience. I too was damaged after he did a lower blep. It caused scarring. He has been using the same technique for the last 25+ years and has never changed, big RED FLAG. He does it one way, for everyone, with incisions. If have since educated myself after going through this horrible experience. I could have done this same procedure without any incision and would not have needed a skin pinch. I am angry at myself for being so naive..He comes across as a very nice man, but while I was in the operating room I witnessed how nasty he was to a couple of the nurses for no discerning reason. It took me by surprise. My gut feeling when first meeting him was he might be too old, but then told myself, he has so much experience, he must be good. He obviously hasn't kept abreast on better, newer ways to do this procedure. Maybe he is set in his way of doing things and thinks his approach is the best approach. Might be for him but not for the patient.
Exactly the same feeling I had. Thank you for sharing. So upset with myself as there were sooo many red flags. Too many to go into.
Why don’t I see your reviews? Just making sure it’s posted.
Yeah, I know. Very upsetting.
My heart goes out to you. I too had a negative experience w Dr Schiller ( 11/23) that I posted about here, but I cld have written much more. I wanted to spare someone else from trusting this doctor who should have retired years ago, because he doesn’t want to learn newer techniques, and doesn’t have the temperament for dealing w patients and potential complications.

Please know there are ocuplastic surgeons ( I consulted w one in Manhattan) who are expert in revision if it’s something you want to pursue. This surgery was supposed to make you happy, not feel worse. I hope he at least listened to your concerns and didn’t blame you, as he did me, on “getting old.” And hopefully, potential new patients will read these reviews and look elsewhere for quality bleph procedures. Dr. Schiller ain’t it.
Thank you for sharing. I’m so upset with myself. So many red flags. I waited so long for this simple procedure and chose poorly. Spent so much money and am so disappointed. Really changed the way I looked and not for the better. I’ll get through it.
Yep agree. I made sure I posted my experience to prevent anyone else having to endure going through this. For someone who has done this for 25+,years there aren't many reviews. I hope more people learn about realself that have had bad outcomes with him start to post, because I am sure there are many more.
I'm reading this back now, in April of 2025. I don't know if this doctor is still in practice but he should NOT be. I'm still traumatized by my experience with him. It's bad enough when something goes wrong, but how he responded to me was beyond cruel.
