Horrible Lower Bleph. Experience

Horrible Lower Bleph. Experience

Hi, this Dr. has been doing this procedure the same way for decades. If he tells you there will be no scars, he is being dishonest. He makes an incision under the eye and out from the corners of the eyes. No noticeable scars under the eye, will give him credit that this was done well. But the cuts that he makes from the outer corners will leave scars. You cannot cut on the skin without creating a scar. It all comes down to how obvious they will be. If you have pale white skin, you may not notice the hypopigmented scars. If you have a lot of wrinkles around the eye you may not notice it. If you have poor eye sight, you may not notice. The other con, is the way he does this procedure, it takes weeks, even months to heal. Who wants to go through that?? You heal quicker from a facelift! Why would anyone want to do it this way when there are better and quicker ways to do a lower Bleph., now. He does not customize for the individual. It's done one way. Some people have deep set eyes, some people don't. Some people need a skin pinch, some people don't. There is no reason to pull the cheek up, this can be done beautifully with a fat transfer. When done with fat, other areas can be addressed. Fat loss at the temple area can be addressed, nasal labial folds, and marionette lines, and contouring the cheek area can restore a true balance that just lifting the cheek fat cannot do. If a dr has been doing it the same way for decades that is a RED Flag. Someone mentioned a Dr's name in one of the reviews left on here. I checked him out. He has hundreds of reviews, ALL GOOD. He has videos explaining how he does it and customizes for the individiual. He does fat repositioning. Healing is unbelievable quick. My friends who saw everything I went through were like, "hell no", and "now we know what not to do!?". It was a horrendous experience. Another thing is for a dr. who has been oculoplastic surgeon for over 30 years, there are not a lot of reviews. He does not consider the patient experience. If you want to do it this way, then go ahead, you might be happy. I'm just telling my experience. Just make sure you know exactly what and how he is going to do this procedure. I'm not happy with the results and scars or the experience. If the scars weren't there, I could get over the bad experience. I feel like I have PTSD.
