Dr Cheung is a highly skilled and experienced eye surgeon. During our consultation he was respectful and very understanding about my eye bags and recommended transconjuctival bhelp corrective treatment. After our consultation he was very responsive to all my doubts and questions to further clarify my understanding of the procedure and the expected outcomes. He was the only consultation I had and though I had done some research online with regards to what treatments are available for correcting eye bags (mainly looking at social media posts of people who had undergone treatment and their before and after results) I knew I was in safe hands.
Dr Cheung suggested some additional steps to reduce the tear trough deformity by way of arcus maginalis release and septal cautery to tight up the under eye area and not fat transfer which seems to be a trend online with various other social media surgeons. Dr Cheung explained very honestly that fat transfer could bring unsatisfactory results for numerous reasons and can be difficult to manage if it becomes infected etc. I trusted his recommendations and went ahead with his surgical plan. Dr Cheung was very attentive and reassuring throughout the process. On surgery day he calmed my nerves and had a fantastic team who were equally friendly and supportive. On the day of surgery I didn’t feel pain and was sent home with all the medication I needed. Dr Cheung reached out that night by email to check if I’m ok which was really appreciated. First 7 days I slept upright and again didn’t experience any pain or discomfort and no complications whatsoever, only swelling which was expected. I was invited back a week later by dr Cheung for general observations and to check the healing of the incision he had made. All was good. 3 months later I can report I am extremely happy with my results and can’t thank dr Cheung enough for his skill, knowledge, patience and hard work that goes into making people feel good about themselves again
