How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.
If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

Frankenstein Staples Down My Face
What is your worst plastic surgery nightmare? Waking up and having Frankenstein staples down the side of your forehead? That is what Dr. Christopher Lo did to me.
Imagine my horror when I looked in the mirror after my upper bleph and brow lift and saw that instead of the “barely visible” small incisions in the hairline I had been promised, I had staples down the side of my face! When he removed them, he was so busy at his computer he didn’t even look at me. No pride in work (obviously). He couldn’t care less. It’s important to note that he is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist, not Plastic Surgery. So I would maybe consider him for cataracts or glaucoma, but I wouldn’t let him cut my face.
Since my horror 3.5 years ago, I’ve had multiple visits to a skin pigment specialist, dozens of solar treatments and had a skin specialist tattoo artist do 3 cover up treatments. While it’s better, the Bride of Frankenstein scar is still there for all the world to see and it will be forever. I tell people who ask me what happened that I had an accident in Mexico and had to get bad stitches.
Not a day in my life goes by that I don’t look in the mirror and think of Dr Lo and Eyesthetica and deeply regret my decision to trust them.
